Evolution Tankless Reverse Osmosis System (1000GPD)

$58275 /each

Product Overview

The Evolution RO1000 Reverse Osmosis System is a tankless RO system featuring on-demand, continuous-flow water production. With no storage tank to fill, the reverse osmosis unit does not run until RO water is needed. The Evolution RO unit features a patented high-production, low-energy membrane to purify between 700 and 1500 Gal. of water per day, depending on your water conditions. That is more than 50 times the output of typical home RO products. That means the Evolution provides commercial water production at the price of a residential system--a new opportunity in light duty commercial applications.

How often do the filters need changing?

Asked by: Krissee
The carbon prefilter gets replaced every 2000 gallons and the stage 2 and 3 are replaced every two years under "normal" usage.

How difficult is the changing of the filters and just how much room does one need to access those filters, looks like it might be pretty awkward?

Asked by: Bill
If you install a Ball Valve in the water inlet line just before this unit then you only need to turn it to the off position just before removing whichever of the 3 housing units you need to change before doing so. Then you only need the unit to be mounted high enough to provide space for the housing you're removing to slide downward until you can turn it sidewerds to clear the filter itself. They're all awkward to replace depending on where you place it (under sink, basement or elsewhere), but the ball valve I recommended first, above, makes it easier.

What is the cost of filters for this unit.

Asked by: Di
Simply search for "Hydrologic" (the product brand's name) in Home Depot's search bar. The filters will be displayed in the results.

It is a bit too big to fit underneath the sink. It is best if it is mounted in a closet behind the kitchen if that is applicable. After you get through the first gallon the rate of flow slows down dramatically. Maybe its great for residential use but we purchase this for an apartment building community room and we are adding extra accessories to increase efficiency. Its a good product if additional pieces are purchased. Bladder tank and wall mount bracket.
