Answer:
The 2-pack & 10-pack are the same rollers. You just get a volume price, so to speak. No reason to buy the 2-pack unless you are replacing only 1 or 2 rollers.

From what I can tell these rollers just come from a third party and they are cheaper (in price) due to that reason. I just bought these and they work great!

Answer:
Yes they do need periodic lubrication, the frequency of which depends on door use. Normal use would require lubrication once a year. I use white lithium grease in spray form which works great.

Answer:
Yes they do need periodic lubrication. I would use a silicone based lubricant because it will handle all types of weather and not attract dirt so it will not gum things up worse.

Deluxe 1-7/8 in. Nylon Garage Door Rollers (10-Pack) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 67.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice for home use These rollers are priced great for a 10-pack. I like the look of steel rollers more but these are actually very quiet and were very easy to install. Probably took about 20-25 to replace all 10. Had no experience with replacing rollers but took a look at YouTube and got the job done easy peezy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rollers - Quiet and Smooth I recently had a new garage door opener installed. The installers, not surprisingly, indicated that the 10 rollers on the guide tracks also needed to be replaced (they really didn't but they were 15 years old and noisy) and that they could do it at additional substantial cost. I told them no and then did some on-line research and found these nylon/ball bearing rollers from Home Depot to be the best. The 10 rollers cost me 20% of what the installers wanted and after watching a short on-line video about installation (a very simple process) replaced them myself in 30 minutes. With the new opener and rollers the garage door is now very quiet.

They reduce the noise of the old metal rollers that were at least 20 years old. Insulation was a snap if you follow the video. You need only a few tools . A couple of vice grips, a large screw driver or small crow bar, a hammer and a small ladder or step stool. It took me about an hour to install the rollers. I'm going to order another set of rollers to fix the other garage door which is just as old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rollers mt garage door is whisper quiet now This is stupid if you want my feedback you'll take the quick answers and this little 50 character thing is useless and a waste of time and this is the last time I will ever do feedback for you guys again because it's stupid. If you want to review want it you can do your own that's what you want to hire employees for. I suggest you shorten it up next time you want feedback on your products to waste my time

So far, I replaced a few of the broken metal rollers with the nylon rollers and they are much quieter. I will eventually replace all the metal rollers. The bearings on the metal rollers don't seem to wear or last long. The shaft and rollers on the nylon ones appear to be more solid and heavier. I definitely recommend them over the metal ones. Too bad they don't come in black rollers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roller seem to be excellent quality The rollers have only been on the door for a couple of weeks, but they seem quite good. They are much quieter than my old metal rollers. One disappointing thing was that there were only 9 rollers. I should have checked at the store, but this isn't important enough to pursue. I had really only wanted to replace the problem rollers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nylon garage door rollers We had 2 garage doors that were installed in 1976. Everything was worn out on these doors. Replaced all the rollers as well as the guide pulleys. WOW what a difference! Much quieter and much smoother operation of the doors. Sure beat having new doors installed.

I found installation instructions online, but including same in the product packaging would have been helpful. These rollers are far superior to the original metal rollers. Good value.
