Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great vlue the process was very easy to install fits well and works well great value for the money December 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by fit the old door. Could use a gasket My garage door lock froze after 18 years of service. Ordered this, and it it fit perfectly well in the slot. However, there was enough play between the lock and the inside lever that I had to make my own gasket out of cardboard to keep it from being too loose. Otherwise no issues. Initially installed it upside down because I didn't feel like reading directions (figured I had a 50/50 shot). I bought two in case the other door lock freezes up. April 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Waste of time, even bigger waste of money! Decent lock with a very big problem. You can't get extra keys! I needed an extra key after the warranty was up and no one, Home Depot, Lowes, hardware stores, and professional locksmiths could make a working key. Locksmith was closest but too thick. Had to replace the cylinder lock with an American lock that I could get extra keys made. Learned my lesson. Make sure you can get extra keys when you buy the lock. If not, run!!! January 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by exact replacement lock cylinder we have an old garage door and unfortunately we lost the key to the built-in garage door lock. we were not very confident we would find an exact replacement lock since the door was so old and we would end up having to replace the entire locking mechanism. initially, we were unsuccessful until we checked home depot's website and not only found the complete lock for our door, but also the lock cylinder which could be purchased separately. we purchased the lock cylinder only and it fit into the opening of my garage door and operated the locking mechanism perfectly. we saved a bunch of cash. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install I had lost the key to the garage door of a house that I was selling. I was not able to get a locksmith to fit a new key to it because of rules regarding garage doors and patio doors, so I ordered this lock online for around $10.00. It was easy to install and was a cheap fix for my problem. The long blade that goes into the hole and turns with the key, has grooves in it so that it can be shortened to the length you need. The lock works well, July 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by description was right on I have an older security door, and it was hard to find the right lock. The lock fit perfect. January 7, 2014
