Product Overview

Be notified when someone or something has come onto or into your property. This wireless motion sensor monitors a range of up to 26 ft. When motion is detected, the wireless receiver emits a chime or alarm. The range to the receiver is up to 180 ft. away. Verstaile ------------- This set has many applications. Use it to monitor your driveway, keep your pool area safe, or get alerted about intruders. It is also useful for small businesses or offices, where staff must leave the main area but still need to be notified of customers coming in. Easy setup ------------- Setup is easy. Batteries are included, and the sensor is pre-paired to the receiver. Simply identify the location that needs monitoring, insert the batteries, and position the motion sensor. The battery-operated receiver can be installed on a wall or be kept portable. NOTE: This package cannot be expanded. Only the one motion sensor included in this package can be used with the alarm unit. No additional sensors can be added. If you'd like to create a multi-motion sensor environment, or if additional sensors of other types (water, power, temperature, contact...) are desired, please see the Ideal Security SK698 starter kit and SK615 add-on motion sensors. The SK698 can also be armed and disarmed, for installations where alerts are not always desired. For an even louder alarm that can also be expanded and disarmed, the SK626 siren can be linked to SK615 motion sensors.

Answer:
I'm not sure. It looks watertight, you'll just need to try. I just tested mine with the alarm set on high and it will definitely scare the the deer and probably wake the neighbors too, it is loud. I keep mine set on chime and on low, does the job very well, no more surprise visitors.

We recently adopted a small dog which goes potty outside most of the time, but the other times she likes to go in a specific area of the house. Part of re-training her is catching her before she does it. I think this may help us catch her before she goes potty; therefore helping us re-train her.

Answer:
Definitely., it all depends on how low to the ground you place it. I had to move mine up several times because racoons were setting it off in the early hours off the morning.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Decent product Alert is installed at edge of range, chimes in frame part of house, kind of iffy in masonary part. Solution - move to framed area. Two levels, loud and Extra Loud, dog gets annoyed at E-L level. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works perfectly My house does not have any windows adjacent to the driveway, therefore I was totally blindsided by visitors. Be it a delivery person or some one soliciting I was always caught off guard. Now with the alert in place at least I get a heads up that someone is about to ring the doorbell. I love this product, it works very well. The only suggestion I have is to mount the sensor at least 4 feet of the ground, otherwise you may have animals setting it off in the wee hours of the morning and getting your spouse paranoid and unable to get back to sleep. It''s very sensitive. Also try not to aim at your neighbors house as it will also trigger any movement ( it has a decent range ).. October 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by peace of mind for an old, hearing impaired man I have been hearing impaired for many years and although hearing aids assist me during the day, I am not able to wear them at night while sleeping. Without the hearing aids, my hearing is reduced to almost zero. My bedroom is located some distance from a large sliding door in the dining area, and from a garage entry and outdoor entry at the far end of my home. If anyone were to enter through these doors, I could not hear them. I have placed the detector in an area with direct line of sight to these doors and placed the receiver by my bed. I tested the unit and was amazed at not only the response time---an immediate detection of motion, but also the loudness of the alarm. The product is well built and easy to move to another location. Beautiful. I sleep much better now. The cost is a small price to pay for my peace of mind. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Let us sleep in our own bed again Product did exactly as I needed it to. I bought this product so that we could hear my mother in law if she got out of bed and walked out into the living room during the night. The way my house is setup, she has her own suite including a bedroom, hall and bath. So I positioned the sensor so that it would detect her only if she came out into the living area. I was able to do so by setting the sensor on that living room wall and swinging it towards the wall some. This reduced the sensors area of detection, meaning we could still walk around in the living room and it only goes off within a couple feet of the hallway doorway. The receivever is in the bedroom and set to low and to chime. IT works great. July 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it I absolutely love this product. It's super simple to set up, works great, very sensitive to any movement. I have mine set up by my front door so I know when someone is approaching. It works so well that I can get to the door from the back bedroom before they can reach the door. It was a great investment. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bad choice for an a driveway alert Totally unreliable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It alerts me to squirrels and rabbits more often than trucks and cars. November 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely LOVE this product-it is loud which is awesome-wakes me up in a deep sleep if an animal/person/vehicle is on my property-recommend to all- Love this product-I love that instead of me having to wait for somebody to pull in the driveway when I am expecting company-I can continue to do what I need to do around the house until it informs me my company has pulled up-LOVE the security with me being a single mother of four-it alerted me last night bye beeping and it was four deer crossing my yard-LOVE LOVE this product- July 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wireless safety alert system easy to install - perfect for our needs = alerts us when anyone enters the patio. Very pleased with this purchase. Surprised that the sound travels thruout the house. I was skeptical about anything that is WIRELESS but this motion sensor/alert system is better than my old (with many wires) system. Thanks.
