Answer:
Hello,
Image Herbicide Consumer Concentrate Kills Nutsedge is not approved for use on Ryegrass. You might consider the Image Herbicide Kills Crabgrass (SKU# 162-803) as an option. It is approved for use on Perennial Ryegrass and kills a wide variety of weeds including crabgrass.

We removed all the grass as we want to put down rock, however the nutsedge is still present and as of this post we dig them as they emerge. Will this spray eliminate the nutsedge seed pods and all or will we have to continue to have to spray.

Would it be advisable to wait until the nutsedge to fully emerge first?

The area in question is approximately 600 sqft..

Thank You

Answer:
Hello,
Image Herbicide Consumer Concentrate Kills Nutsedge is a post-emergent herbicide. It will not stop seeds from germinating and works best on actively growing weeds. The product can be reapplied after 6 weeks but normally only one or two treatments will be needed to kill weeds.

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 49 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Helped, but needs a reapplication I sprayed the entire lawn to eradicate a large infestation of utsedge. I ensured sufficient concetration and coverage, but the nutsedge was not completely eradicated. I can give a better review ater a reapplication. June 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works on dallisgrass I mentioned to a co worker that neighbors had this dallis grass that they weren't taking care of and has now started popping up in our yard. He suggested this stuff. I poured it directly on both patches of dallis grass. Within 3 days the dallis grass started turning brown and the surrounding Bermuda grass is just fine. It's nice to buy a product that actually works for a change! June 8, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Did not work Applied to nut grass three times. It did not kill the nut grass. June 8, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Partially good results Works well on poa annua, not so great on dollar weed...best results were made by soaking dollar weed and surrounding soil. May 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TIME WILL TELL.......JUST SPRAYED Don't know how effective since we just sprayed....looks promising May 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Does not work This product first of all is expensive. Secondly, I used it twice according to the direction. I still have the same weeds growing. Will not purchase again. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Image selective weed killer I use Image on my lawn three weeks ago spot treating prone areas then a general broad spraying. I mixed as directed on the package and the results were satisfactory. It did not hurt the St. Augustine at all but did slightly slow the Bramuda but not bad. Most weeds are gone. I'll retreat the problem areas again in a month. Its a little more work but I rather use Image followed by a good plain fertilizer than the all in one packages. April 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Selective Service Used this to kill crabgrass and other broad leaf weeds on El Toro grass. The herbicide killed the crabgrass and weeds and made the grass turn yellow-brown, but did not kill the grass. March 8, 2016
