Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as advertised Small and has options for different voltage. Easy to set up. Good value. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent item Needed extra power to run 2 door chimes from 1 button ..... original transformer was not adequate, this transformer does a great job ..... and Home Depot had the best price too! April 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Power for two chimes My doorbells failed due to a stuck push button on the back door. The transformer overheated, resulting in the thermal protective device in the old transformer opening the primary circuit, avoiding the risk of fire, by disabling the power source. {I replaced the sticky pushbutton as well} This replacement transformer, on the 16 volt taps provides suffient power to operate both the main floor and the additional doorbell chime. Additional taps are provided for other voltage chimes, but a higher or lower voltage would not allow the "Lighted" door bell buttons (or the chimes) to operate within their ratings. The light bulbs would have either been very dim, or have had a very short life. This transformer has suffiecent VA ratings {resulting in voltage stability} to solidly power both chimes without over-voltaging the pushbuttons. The unit has built in over-heating protection, as required by NEC and codes. Replacement was simple, since the transformer is acessable in the basement on a ceiling light in the utility room. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Function v Fashion This transformer does not come with any sort of decorative housing around it so you need to find a hidden place to install it, because it is unsightly. I was going to install it next to my door chime but since it looks like an unfinished piece of equipment, I opted to hide it up in a closet. Good value, otherwise. March 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This transformer was the easiest part of the whole installation Haven't had any issues so far. The door bell rings every time. It was easy to wire up. The only way I can think of to improve the transformer would be some suggestions for where to install (attic, garage, etc.), and tips for making sure your installation is up to code. I know that codes are different for every area, but maybe this could be done with a website. Anyway, it's worked flawlessly so far. July 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked Great in a Dual Function I had added a pilot light by my front door to tell me when my garage door was open. I needed 28 volts to power the light. In the same area was my door bell transformer...but it was only 16 volts. I got this transformer, used the 16 volt tap to power my door bell, and used the 24 volt tap to power my garage door pilot light. Works just fine!! July 17, 2012
