Are they leagle to use in conduit or dose it have to be in a box?

Asked by: oldtimer
You might check with a local electrical code guy but as this is typically a low voltage application you could use them in conduit and they don't need t be in a box. Good Luck. Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.com

Are they " water proof".? can they be used as connectors for sprinkles
Asked by: mioke
mioke these connectors are for use with 24 AWG phone wires and the wire in your sprinkler system is probably too large for the connector. Look for the weatherproof connectors that Home Depot carries and they are designed for that application. Hope that helps Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.com

Asked by: rafael
Reveal they are typically used for telephone wiring but you could use them on automotive applications as long as the wire you are using is between 19-24 AWG gauge. Hope that helps DatacommGuy

Customer Reviews

Insulation Displacement Wire Connectors (25-Pack) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most reliable way to splice wires. These are what the Pros call "jelly beans" because they look like jelly beans in your toolkit, but the only thing sweet about these connectors is, I've never had one fail in 20 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Used to splice telephone wiring 3 ways. A little problem holding the wires in position. Used a regular pair of pliers to press the button. No do overs.
