Product Overview

The 62-200 LinkMaster is a basic wiremapper for identifying wiring and continuity errors in twisted pair cabling. Wiremappers are used to verify if the cable is physically terminated properly at both ends and that there are no major cable defects present in the cable, such as cut conductors, that would prevent signal continuity. Colored LED lights identify pass or fail conditions of each pair of wires in RJ-45 8 conductor cables. When the test is activated, LinkMaster checks each pair of the cable for any opens (unterminated or cut conductors), shorts (cut or nicked conductors that come into contact), miswires (wires out of order – not consistent at both ends), reversals (one pair miswired), split pairs (wired correctly but using wrong conductor order and grouping) . Single button operation simplifies the use of the LinkMaster. Includes main test unit and remote unit.

  • Designed for Cat 3,5,5e,6,6a cables

Customer Reviews

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool for any beginner I will never buy a Cat5e cable again. I have an IDEAL branded crimp tool, a big box of plenum rated cable, and boxes of RJ45 connectors. I've wired multiple rooms of my house for gigabit ethernet using the snap in style cat5e receptacles. It's very simple and very relaxing, to tell the truth. I generally go with the T568B wiring convention, which is conveniently printed on the remote unit of this pair. But sometimes you screw up. I never trust a crimp job until I test it with this device and highly recommend it if you're going to do any home wiring. February 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Tool This is one of those tools that I don't know how I lived without. Whether I'm making cables or testing existing. It's well designed, compact and very easy to use. I'd recommend this product to anyone and see it as a required tool if doing networking. July 2, 2013
