Answer:
Snap n Seal is a brand but both are examples of compression style coax connectors. The RTQ connectors from IDEAL is more in line with the Snap n Seal. Thanks for the question.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well if................. These work well only if you strip your wire correctly. Yes they do fit tight which is good so they make good contact to the shield/ braid. If using quad shield cable like the other reviewer said you should remove one layer of the foil shield to allow your connector to fit further on. After installing 5 quickly I can say the bad reviews are from DIY people that don't understand instructions. The all metal models that cost more may be better if outdoors but for interior dry areas these work well. October 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by One major flaw The plastic compression sleeve/barrel on the back of these is so thick that a cable socket tool will not fit over it. You have to tighten the connection by hand, which is not easy on devices with tight clearance (connection recessed into a small opening) or on most splitters. :-( Whoever "designed" this has obviously never actually installed cable connections before. Other brands, that use a metal sleeve/barrel do not have this issue. September 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great Quad shield be advised Works very well. Very good price. If using a quad shielded cable you may have to strip the shielding down to the innermost shield (I did). After that worked well with the Klein tools compressor tool. June 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great product the connectors are tight which held to the wire beautifully and made me feel like i didnt have to worry about my dogs pull pull on it as they are playing signal quality i used these to fix some of the work the cable company did in my house only tight when pushing protective casing into connector which it should me October 20, 2013
