Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AndyB Sanity saver for anyone working from home
Background: 2 dogs and 2 cats, I work from home and my office has a door straight into back garden
My Golden was a pest when it came to going out and coming in, muddy paws everywhere especially on the door as you can see from the pics, it used to be in-out, in-out, in-out. For every in or out I had to go open the door and close it again, MULTIPLE times a day. I've still got muddy paw syndrome but at least it's not on the door itself, only the carpet AND I get basically zero distraction from the pups going in and out, now it's only feed-me or I-want-to-play...with you!, but I digress.
Installation: My door is a steel door, a little challenging to say the least BUT after marking out my cut area, I finally managed to get a hole using a Dremel Trio. Once the hole was cut out, this was a no-brainer install. I sealed the pet door to the main door with low expanding foam and voilà
Training the dogs to use the door was easy and took about 10 minutes with a few doggy-treats and me initially holding the flap open just a little but now, they come and go as they please leaving me working undisturbed.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heather great dog door!
awesome product!! i have a 10 year jack russell terrier and a year old black labrador ... both find it easy to use, and it retains a good seal in our hot, humid florida weather! purchasing another one right now!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doc1 not for real active dogs
If you have dogs that are really active then this is not a door I suggest
We have had this door since Dec 2013
We first had to replace the closure/flap and now we have to replace frame and all
It is not all that old
When trying to replace the flaps we find you can just about buy the complete unit for cost of flap
They will not sell the rubber strips that hold the flaps together if they would that would add a big plus
I cut some out of cloth and they worked for some time
The flaps are good it is the rubber strip that you can't purchase them is the problem
Now the frame has broken and will no longer hold the flap in place so we are off to but a complete assembly
I will now have three flaps for one door and it is a little over a year old
If they would sell parts it would really help
If you have a dog or two that goes in and out a couple of times a day it may be great but if they are active and go in and out several times a day it will not hold up in my opinion

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by tishpit Not rugged enough for large, energetic dog
Had the old flapper type doggy door and although it worked o.k., the plastic bowed and allowed air to come through. So went with this one, hoping it would be more resilient to such problems. Had my handyman install in the back door and it worked well, though was a bit noisy as my dogs went in and out. It was a bit more air tight than the plastic flap style we had before, but still felt some hot air seeping in (Florida). About 2 months of use and when my larger puppy (about 67 lbs.) leapt through the door, the entire swinging plastic louver popped out with a metal rod that should have held it in place. We are now trying to fix it ourselves... but afraid this might happen again. For larger, energetic dogs... this may not be sturdy enough.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nanster I'm ordering another...
With 3 large, very active dogs at on our ranch we've had to divide the yard, but want them to have access to both sides from time to time. I'm ordering my 2nd door to install at the other end of the house. Perfect solution.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sddad3kids Good door but needs additional instructions
Good door. I sealed it with some caulk around the out side edges so it would not leak. Still had a leak and realized it was between where the inside and outside frames slid together. Put a very thin bead there as well and it has been dry since. We even had a heavy wind and rain storm beat against it and no leaks. Wish they would show in instructions where you need to caulk. Would have given 5stars then.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Great product for my enormous beagle!
Easy install... Cut, drill and screw. Would like to have a weatherproof seal on the outside, easily resolved with some silicone. Door itself seals great, no noticeable air leakage. It was a little heavy for our cat and chihuahua to push open at first, but they've all figured it out.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Barbara this product has great features
the best thing about this pet door is the seal. I feel confident that the there is no exchange of outside and inside air through the door with the exception of the coming and going of our pets. Now we will not have any loss of energy. I have four dogs ranging in size from 13 pounds to 36 pounds. They all now can pass through the door with comfort and ease and can push the tiered door with their nose without difficulty.
