Happy that I decided to spend the money and get the proper door instead of hassling with an aluminum door that would have required alot of weather stripping. The dual pane is also beneficial for heating and cooling. No draft through this door when properly installed.

Tried to install according to the directions. They were not complete and pictures were not big enough to see what they were talking about. Had to hire a handyman to install and he did not follow the directions either.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by defjeff A little tough to put together but...
I'm happy with it so far. It has been about 3 weeks since the initial install. The door itself has a little squeak every time the dogs come or go but I'm sure if I grease it, that will be fixed. I'm coming from the cheap single pane aluminum and rubber flap door that I used at my last house for about 9 years. I live in Las Vegas so I paid dearly for not having an energy efficient door and had to replace the flap a couple times. Overall this door is leaps and bounds better insulated and I'm confident my a/c bill this summer will reflect it. I had no trouble with the install with the exception of the locking mechanism, I just couldn't get it to close enough even with the spacers so I just stuck a piece of wood in the door track and called it a day.

The door is very attractive, and matches our vinyl sliding glass door nicely. The only problem is once its installed, it takes up approximately half of the opening that is left to walk through.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OCMom2525 Decent door but difficult to install
This door was much more difficult to install than my past door of a similar kind. The door itself is nice quality and it matched my patio door so the look was nice. However the hardware and install needs to be completely redesigned. It was a nightmare. The top mechanism of my past door was a spring that could be pushed back to slide the door in/out. This door has a cheap plastic bracket on top that needs to be screwed/unscrewed tediously every time you want to remove the door. Also, the side mounting hardware hooks are poor quality and mine got stuck so I can't get the door off. Hardware is not a huge problem if you are going to leave the door on permanently. Another small note, the dog door flap itself is nice and sturdy and is supposed to be better for weather proof but is a bit tougher for the dog to push open so if you have a shy dog this might be an issue. My dog adjusted for it. Overall, this door could easily be a 5 star with NEW mounting hardware - both on the side hooks and the top plastic area on top. Top should be spring loaded to retract. Side needs to have a release on the outside so when you want to take the door OFF you can get it off. Mine is stuck. :( 3 stars and not real happy. :(
