We did not want to be making any holes in walls or doors. We use a doggy screen door on our sliders in the summer so we thought this would be perfect. We have a tall doggy, a teensy doggy and a chubster pig. All three have no trouble using the door except the rise is a little high for the piggy, though he manages it. There is a little air seepage but not bad and we can probable plug that up. We had a carpenter friend install the door and he said it was no problem. We will also be able to open it in the summer to use the doggy screen door again. This door was a bit more expensive than others I looked at, but for us, it was worth it to get the extra wide opening. 4 paws up!

This door was really easy to install. We have 2 german shepherds and 1 is over 100lbs and we did not really need a opening this big. Could have used a small size the 10x15. The magnet on the flap is not any good and does not work. You also cannot use the sliding glass door to walk thru unless you are a child. Being that we live in the northeast US we will have to remove this door shortly. There is a 1 inch gap where the flap does not seal with the magnet. If you live in warmer weather it would be ok. But a doggie door is a great thing to have and we do love it. I am sure I will miss it for the next 7 months.

This product is the best one for larger dogs. There are a few areas of improvement for this product. One is that the foam tape that is provided does not sufficiently create a seal between inside and outside. Also after a few weeks of use the flap becomes warped and let's outside air in. If you live in a temperate climate that wouldn't be a problem. However, if you live in the desert like me both of these flaws lets heat in.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GAJIM Great door - easy to install.
The door is perfect for a manufactured home that has door frames slightly smaller than stick-built homes. The only drawback is the size of the opening. It is much larger than our other doggie door and our dog isn't thrilled about using it. He is slowly getting used to it. There needs to be a third size - in between the one that was too small for my dog and the one I bought.
