Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tip for RG-6 Quad Cable If you are working with RG-6 Quad cable after you make the two step strip and 1/4" of center conductor and 1/4" of braiding exposed. Fold back the first braid over the outer jacket, the foil under it needs to be cut away. Simply find where it overlaps itself and make a small cut in the foil closest to the outer jack then peel it away. Then fold the second braid back over the first braid. If you do not take out the outer foil it bunches up and you will not be able to get a connector on the cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great job for RG6(Q) I have personally used over 60 of these so far and they are great for RG6. Good price and it makes a reliable consistent connection at the end. Note: for quad-shielded (RG6Q), it is a very tight fit. I found that I needed to take my knife and make 2 small cuts in the outer black wire covering back ~1/4" past where the wire stripper cuts (make the cuts parallel to the axis, this is just to give it some room to fit the connector into the cable.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Work Fine, but not for RG6 Quad These seem to work ok for some of the thinner coax out there (i.e. repairing what the cable guy left). and probably work OK for RG6, but they're pretty much useless for RG6 Quad. They're way too narrow for RG6 Quad and I spent way too much time fighting them to get even a few on the ends of the cable. Picked up a box of a different brand (eclipse) and had no problems.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great for RG/6 but extra steps are required for RG/6Q In order to get these connectors to fit on RG/6 Quad cable I used the hints given by both IDEALsupport and Bugatti. I stripped off the outer foil so only the inner foil was exposed and folded back the stranded wire as described by IDEALSupport but found that the connector still would not go on. Apparently the inner part of the connector needs to fit between the cable and the braided shielding. What I did was split the outer most covering, as described by Bugatti, except I had to strip it back 1/2 inch, instead of 1/4 inch, from where the stripping tool cut off the outer cover. My theory is that this allows the outer cover and shielding to expand allowing room for the inner part of the connector to easily slide between the inner cable and shielding. After I did this the connectors worked fine. There is no way that connectors made to fit both RG/6 & RG/6Q cable will work on RG/6Q unless some modifications are made to the cable ends.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy Unless Your Compression Tool is Ideal Bought a box of these and couldn't get them to work with my Thomas & Betts compression tool. Home Depot used to carry T&B, not sure why they don't. I couldn't get them to compress and my tool would start to strip the out metal sleeve off. I also tried Klein compression fittings but they won't compress either.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not fit onto quad coax I am wondering how anyone can possibly fit a RG6 quad onto this connector...a RG6 was hard enough
