Answer:
They are rated for 22-24 AWG conductors 18 AWG might go into them but is too big and will not work probably. A red version should work with 18 AWG wires. Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.com

Answer:
Sorry no video but it's very simple. You'll have two wires you want to splice. You don't need to strip the insulation off of the wires.
Just slip one of the wires into one of the round holes in the clear section and the other wire into the other hole. Push the wires all the way in until they hit the back. You should be able to see it through the clear connector but you'll also feel it too.

Once the wires are all the way back, use a pair of pliers to push the yellow button down. Pushing the button down creates the connection, locks the wires in place and releases the gel that prevents corrosion. Just make sure that the wires don't slip out of the connector while you're pushing down on the button.
If you have a problem with the wires slipping out before you push the button down with pliers here's a tip that works for me. You can also just push the button down with your thumb. At least part way anyway. That's enough to hold the wires in place. Then come back with the pliers to push the button down all the way to get a good electrical connection. Read Less

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by They did the job! I bought these to join 2 garage door sensor wires. They are easy to use as you only need pliers and 5 minutes to spare. The only flaw I noticed was I had 2 of the tops that you push in pop right off. It wasn't a big issue as there are 25 of them and only cost me $7 June 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Couldnt be easier If you can push a button then you can use this ! its easy and works very well. The Gel is great for keeping moisture and small amounts of liquid out. May 15, 2014
