Illume light problem

Hi When replacing a bulb on one of the pucks with wire detached from the bulb holder. Is there any way to fix this or get 1 puck to replace it?
Asked by: Janet
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot, Janet. Unfortunately we do not carry these pucks individually. However you may be able to locate a repair kit or puck with the manufacturer here: http://www.dalslighting.com/en/contact-us We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.

Customer Reviews

60-Watt 3 Xenon White Puck Kit is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bulb Installation Tip I agree with everything OakAged said in "Tricky to install, but then they're fine." review. Here's a trick that I used - it was the only way I could get the bulb seated in the socket properly: Remove the 2 tiny screws holding the silver ring in place. Without the ring, the socket can move around more freely which makes it easier to line up the bulb straight with the socket, and apply pressure on the tip when pushing it in. The bulb only goes in when correctly aligned with the socket. Before re-attaching the ring, make sure the bulb socket is back in its 'groove' in the puck frame. I was able to tell this by feel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tricky to install, but then they're fine. Like other pucks, you remove the lens, pull the fixture out of the case, screw the case to the cabinet, push the fixture back in, and replace the lens. Unlike other pucks, you need to keep the fixture hanging from the case by two wires through two gaps, which is tricky as one or both keep falling out and it's in the way of the screwdriver. Also the bulb is tricky to plug in as there's just barely enough room to line it up and then no room to get a finger on the end to push it, and it needs a hard push. But the good news is they don't need a ballast and are easy to hard wire, easily daisy-chain to each other, and work great with a dimmer switch. And the light is nice and bright for just 20 Watts per puck, and a nice colour - not harsh, not blue, not too yellow. By the way, I surface mounted them. You can also recess mount them, but then you're supposed to run the wires up into the cabinet, which is not suitable for kitchen cabinets or anywhere you're going to be putting things on that surface. You'd need to cut another hole to feed the wires back down, which is still not ideal. So recessing is only for when you have a soffit etc. for the wires.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bulbs needed The bulbs burn out quickly and they are hard to find.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Install is a challenge I'm not sure if other puck lights are like this for install. I installed under cabinet which means I had to use the full unit. It took me a long time to install it because it was difficult to balance the inner part of the unit while screwing in the housing for the light. A simpler housing for this product would have been better such as a bracket to lock the housing into. They make these instructions for an electrician not the ordinary person. Once installed they do look really nice with the warm lighting. Word of caution: Do not touch the lights once they are on, it gets VERY hot!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible They're flimsy. The covers keep falling off. The reviewer who said it's tricky to insert the bulbs makes an understatement. It is a royal pain. I broke two out of six and the replacements are $6.98! They've been in a year and I just replaced two more bulbs and all the memories came flooding back!
