1. Is this available in higher than 1.5 watts?
2. Does the frosted lens really cut "counter top glare"?
3. Is the light really 3.5" deep? (that is not shallow then!)
4. What does the "any direction" mean after "surface mount" in the description?
Thanks.

The description for this product says a DC-LED driver is required, and several options are available. But the manufacturer's web site for this product indicates the driver is in the on-off switch, and according to the pictures, the on-off switch plugs into a 120-volt outlet. So what's the real story here?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great kitchen under cabinet lights Years ago I installed 3 halogen lights but they were hot, the bulbs kept burning out and the wiring was flakey. So couple of months ago I replaced them with these lights. They are just right. Much broader light coverage, nice warm colour balance, more secure wiring, super low profile. I had to use my boat wiring skills and tools to extend the 12-volt wiring to work in our setting. January 31, 2016
