Love the doors but installation instructions next to impossible to understand. Had to hire someone to install for us.

The Impact Plus 36”x80” beveled edge solid core closet bi-fold door is of superior quality. This is a beautiful, solid, bi-fold closet door that will make your room look great. We have it in our bedroom closet to use as a dressing mirror. The door is strong and as a result heavy but it operates very smoothly. Installing is a snap except for the weight. I did it alone but a helper would be advisable. I own 3 other custom bi-fold doors from the same company and I am very happy with them.
These doors are designed for a finished opening with a floor saddle but if you want a standard size and not custom bi-fold door a couple things to keep in mind. The finished width is standard to all bi-fold, 36” doors but the height is not. They include a saddle for the floor, which I do not like. I like the clean look of my floors sweeping into the closet. To accomplish this I had to add a flat, 2x4 header, which added 1.5 inches to my finished opening. That made it a clean tight fit. I was in a hurry to get my new room finished and painted so I made my closet door finished opening of 81”x36” and that is why I had to add the 1.5” header. I wish I didn’t but when you are in a hurry sometimes you pay the price.
The floor needs to move because it is a floating cork floor so they included a bottom jamb hinge, instead of a floor mount hinge. (You need to call the manufacture for this). This hinge transferred some of the weight to the wall and not all on the floor to allow the floor to move in theory.
Custom measurements add about $100 to the price but worth it if need be. The floor saddle is standard on all but you must tell them when ordering if you do not want it on custom orders.
The only problem I had with one of my older doors from this manufacture is the top plastic slide guide went bad. I called them and they sent me a new one for free right away. From now on when my wife and I open the door we don’t just jerk the door open with an indiscriminate pull. Just pull the door open in the same plane that it opens- right or left. Do not jerk it towards your which transfers all the force to the top plastic roller guide and eventually wears it out.
We love these doors, the beveled edge adds a classy look. Note in the photo there are two types of closet doors. The 36” pine door cost about $60 less and do not operate nearly as smoothly but we didn’t want mirrors facing our bed.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Gus closet doors may not fit
The product advertised measurement of doors as 80", they are actually 76" so when mine were installed, there is a gap at the bottom and the top of about 2 inches. Included in the kit is a threshold which looks bazaar if you have a floor that runs into the closet. I mounted the wood above the doors to hide the gap. Not ideal and if it were in any place other than a guest room, I would return the doors. Also, I paid for shipping to my house to eliminate breakage of mirror, but they broke it anyway and now I have to pay for more doors to be shipped. Only reimbursed for door that was delivered broken.

The mirror is high quality and provides a true reflection, plus the beveled edges keep it looking modern and high end. It's heavy in a good way. The door is extremely sturdy. It's performed flawlessly in the two months I've had it. Can't say enough good things about it!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ParmaDIYer Great Value Get someone to help you These things are a beast
I had been tracking mirrored bifold doors for awhile as replacements for some 30 year old damaged doors. These doors fit my price point and from the description were a good solution. I chose to pick them up at the store, not really thinking about how heavy 85 pounds (apiece) is to manage. With the seats folded down they did fit into my Ford Escape, but it was a long 4 mile ride and I was really glad when I backed into the driveway. After thoroughly reading the instructions a couple of times, I proceeded to install them. Apart from their weight, the installation went smoothly and probably took a couple hours. Since I probably don't have a straight wall or opening in the entire house, mid-project adjustments are par-for-the-course. At first I was concerned that, because of their heft, they wouldn't be stable, but these doors work so much smoother than their predecessors and once they've been ratcheted into place, the house will probably fall down before they do. My only cautions are: 1. It's definitely not a one man project; get someone to help you. 2. Don't do it on the hottest day of the year.

We had to replace one panel of our mirrored closet doors due to it being cracked. My husband was able to use the existing sliding bars at the bottom of top, and just used the hardware off of the old door and put it on the new. The only thing I saw that I was not happy with was that one of the panels themselves had a small imperfection in the glass itself, but we didn't think it was worth driving an hour to and from the nearest Home Depot to have it replaced.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Very disappointed
First the door is extremely heavy and somewhat difficult to install. I am a pretty big guy so trust me when I say this is a very heavy door, especially for a glass door. Second, the actual size of the door is not 80 inches. After going through the trouble of installing the door, it was too short. This is a huge flaw with the design.
