Product Overview

Not just another pretty face, our sliding mirror closet doors are 3/4 in. PlyCorr (a densely corrugated cardboard that performs like wood without the added weight) with the mirror laminated directly to the surface. Other mirror doors are simply mesh backed mirror in a lightweight frame. In 1957, when our doors with ball bearing rollers and low profile threshold first hit the market it quickly became the top choice for Manhattan developers and architects alike. From Turner Construction when they built the Hofstra Dormitories to HRH Construction when they built the Trump Towers, developers continue to purchase our Impact Plus bi-fold and sliding doors. They are the perfect marriage of beauty and safety.

What is the cost difference for a custom size if you decide you don't want overlap. For instance an 80 x 60 door versus a custom 80 x 58 3/4 width custom size?

Answer:
It will probably be cheaper to pay for the construction costs to re size the closet opening than to buy custom size mirror doors.
The overlap isn't noticed at all, because it's mirror doors, so a few inch overlap will be fine.

Answer:
The cost is often the same price or a nominal difference. In the given example the door is $285 as a 60" x 80" but goes to $302 for a 58 3/4" x 80".

Hello,
The door is designed to fti a finised opening of 80" including the top and bottom track. The top track is 2" and the bottom track is 3/8' and the sliding panel is 77 1/2". If this does not work you have two options. First, you could purchase an 84" door and cut it down yourself and reattach the hardware. You could also order a door from us to the exact height you would like. Keep in mind that for the top of the door to be at 80" you would want it a little shorter then 80" because of the 3/8" bottom track and a small gap for proper operation. Please feel free to call Custom Door and Mirror at (631) 414-7725 to answer any additional questions you might have.

Answer:
The size listed for the door reflects the required finished opening. A 60" x 80" unit requires a 60" x 80" finished opening. All of the room for the track, hardware and spacing is accounted for.

Does 60" x 80" refer to two panels, each 30" x 80"? And, does the price of $285.00 refer to a package of two doors, 60" x 80" total size?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So easy to install ! I love my new closet doors. SOOOO so easy to install. I was worried that my rough opening was a little smaller than the 60 inch width of the door, but the aluminum track (both upper and lower) was very easy to cut with a hacksaw and trim down to size. A couple of screws and a couple of adjustment and viola! It barely makes any noise at all when opening and closing and just looks fabulous. Sorry I didn't purchase sooner. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice closet doors I picked up these doors and installed them within one hour. They were easy to install fit perfectly and work smoothly. These doors look great and added value to my bathroom. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is great quality. The mirrored doors that I purchased for my closet are beautiful. They were easy to install and they even make my bedroom appear larger. They open and close smoothly and were a great value. I highly recommend this product to other buyers. September 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Glass fell off I am a contractor and installed this door for my customer. 3 months later the glass fell off and shattered on the floor. I spoke with the manufacturer and they said that there had been a change in some components which caused the failure. They said the doors at the Depot are all safe and are replacing the door. I don't know if my customer will feel safe with the new door or not. February 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice product, with easy installation These doors arrived on a truck, as I ordered 2 of them. The driver took the pallet with him, thank you for that. Installation was very easy, even on a tile floor in my bathroom. Pay attention to the "handles" that you install, as they have the strongest glue on the planet and if you don't get them just right, you are stuck (pun intended) with wherever you touch... They look great and I appreciate the fact that they were very affordable and make the room look larger than it is. Thanks, BJ September 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LOVE LOVE LOVE IT Product is beautiful and enhances the room trememdously. No problem with instillation and only wish I had done this sooner. Great product as far as construction is concerned and glides with ease. Would highly recommend this item. September 11, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by top of line door This is a top of the line door. A forth grader could install it in a half hour if the floor is level. The shipping is pricey, but some Home Depot stores will waive the cost. You gotta ask. Some who complained about the blu handels should know: the blue is a protective plastic, that you peel away. January 22, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Replaced Stanley Mirror Doors from Home Depot One of the Stanley mirror doors from HD from about 15 years ago, had to be replaced. HD doesn't carry the Stanley doors, had to buy a set in order to replace just one door. Of course the current door doesn't fit on the same track, so I had to replace both doors to use on the new track. Wow what a difference in quality, and the instructions were a crooked photo-copy of a page with pictures, that's it !! And of course the current doors are MUCH more expensive. Higher price, worse quality, where is our product value? September 22, 2015
