12 years ago I bought and installed a set of these doors in a studio apartment I built. Even after having a few rough characters in the unit they still look like the day I put them in. Recently, I purchased a set of these doors for my master bedroom. I knew they would look good and be resilient. I forgot how incredibly easy they are to install. I installed them in about 15 minutes time.

While the doors are nice and seem to function well (so far), it was a very frustrating experience. I ordered the product on-line. My contractor opened the factory shrink-wrapped unit in my presence. There were no instructions, no hardware, and no mirrored handles as shown in the picture. In addition, one of the bottom wheels was jammed and not turning. The package contained only two doors and upper and lower rails. Home Depot tried to rectify the problem by calling the vendor. (As an aside, the North Wales store needs to update their phone system/procedure for customers with problems since I was initially on hold, transferred around several times to an expediter, then cut-off). I was asked what was missing . . . ummm . . . hard to know since I had no instructions, thus, no parts list!! Home Depot gave me 3 options: #1 - Return the entire unit to the store where they would reorder it online at a 10% discount (and I'd have to wait 2-3 weeks for shipment). Option #2 - I would be sent an e-gift card for the amount of missing parts which I could then take with me to the store to pick up the parts that day (if they had them--and of course, they did not have a wheel). Option #3 - vendor would ship missing parts overnight. While weighing these options, Home Depot was able to email me the installation instructions. None of these 3 options were helpful in that I had a contractor at my house that day to install doors, and carpeting coming the next day. Neither Home Depot nor Custom Doors and Mirrors cares a whit about that money lost. My contractor was able to get the wheel unjammed (a screw from the wheel had fallen out and wedged itself somewhere within the assembly) and put up the doors using his own hardware. As it turned out, only screws and the handles were missing. I did not settle for any of the options I was given, but instead asked to be sent up the chain of command. For the sheer inconvenience of it all coupled with my cost associated with paying a contractor for time wasted, I insisted on a discount WITHOUT returning the door and reordering (In my mind, for the amount of discount I would get, this option is a total waste of time and money for everyone involved!! How is this not recognized??). I also indicated that 10% (or $33) was not acceptable. 15% was the maximum they would give me, so I did get $54 credit to my credit card from Home Depot. The vendor, Custom Doors and Mirrors, did try to call me. When I returned the call, they wanted to know exactly what was missing (at this point, it was only the handles, since my contractors was able to resolve on his own). They said they would send them via regular mail (not overnight!). There was no "so sorry for the inconvenience" not even a simple "sorry". Very ironic that THEY seemed irritated with me. In fact when they confirmed my shipping address, they ended the call with OK, and hung up!! Really??? Not goodbye? No such thing as customer service for them. Home Depot was stuck in the middle, so I can't fault them for the product or lack of proper customer treatment, but I won't purchase anything from this vendor again. Bottom line: 1. Always read reviews. 2. Always open your orders and check for completeness before lining up your contractors or next steps. 3. When you do experience a problem, don't yell, scream, or curse, just insist on what YOU want to rectify the situation. 4. When you do get good customer service, remember to commend them for it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Joe Overall Concept Is Very Good
The quality of the unit is very good. But their quality control of all of the components is very poor. All of the screw are very cheap and the screw heads will EASILY strip out. But don't worry too much about it because they did not include all of the necessary screws anyway. Buy your own screws and you will be all set. Otherwise the installation was very straight forward and the quality of the doors is superb.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by FrequentHDVisitor BOTTOM RAIL - CAUTION
Very annoyed to find out that these are BOTTOM rail doors, NOTHING in the specs or description indicates this is a bottom rail. Additionally, the online installation instructions are for folding doors, not sliding. Very surprised considering the amount of money I spent to refinish the hardwood floor in this bedroom to now be expected to drill holes and place an aluminum frame on the floor. Also, getting seriously tired of the manufacturers that toss in a poor, overly photocopied set of instructions - the online version is just as bad AND not for sliding!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jessica Excellent product
I ordered these doors for two bedrooms. They look amazing, slide easily. My boyfriend messed up our tracking by cutting too small, I ordered 72in and actually needed 71 3/4, so I had to call supplier directly and they shipped me the exact size I needed. Shipped fast!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RayInMD nice...BUT
Only hard part was having our contractor pick the item up after we ordered and paid online.
We got it worked out ok and the doors are what we wanted. We bought one of these several years ago but the Home Depot contractor tore a hole in our carpet, which was new, and he denied it when we called the store. So this time we got our own contractor and all went well with the installation.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LFJR Beautiful doors as advertised.
Very poor directions. One page fuzzy duplicated drawing with minimal directions. These doors cost twice as much as others. Spend a little money on the directions for homeowners that do not install every day. No screws/anchors were provided for the sill track. You should provide screws/anchors for concrete or masonry and screws for wood floors. Recommendation for anyone installing over old concrete: Use a good 1/2" or larger hammer drill. My 3/8" drill motor could not penetrate the old hardened concrete.
Also there were no instructions regarding the top rail plastic or nylon adjustable guides.
