Easy to assemble although it will take you much longer if it is a replacement unit. It takes at least a half an hour to remove you old disposer. You may have to replace old drain parts which can be frozen or will break when you remove them. Transferring your power cable to the new unit may take half an hour. Factor in a run to your favorite hardware store.
Write down the serial number before you install the unit, you will need it to register your product. That way you won't have to go under the sink to get it once the disposer is installed.
The installation instructions were very straight forward and easy to understand. The diagrams were very good.

DIY-er here- 1st garbage disposal install. Took everything off, wired up existing garbage disposal cord to new unit , installed new plumbers putty and cranked the new throat down. Comes with new throat, stopper and friction gasket.

I purchased this after growing tired of my old one jamming all the time. This was in stock, budget-friendly and easy to install. So far...so good!

Replaced a 12 year old unit. Cramped space for install. Most 3/4 horse would not fit, this did. Not quiet, but a good bit quieter than one we replaced. Install was super easy. Works like a champ. Price better than other options.

I installed the predecessor to Model 900 Insinkerator 444 3/4HP it lasted 11 years 5 months. So I bought another Insinkerator. We were satisfied with performance over the years both grinding and noise level. What eventually happens is water causes corrosion and the bearings loose lubrication so the unit seizes up after many years.
The Waste King 3100 prior to the first Insinkerator lasted 7 years but I took it apart and lubricated the bearing so it lasted to 10 years.
When installing don't forget to remove the plug for the dishwasher drain connection!

Easy to install. This was a replacement for an insinkerator that came with the house. Much better than the old one.
