Answer:
The bottle installs in the front of the disposal. Just push the button in and push the bottle up as far as it will go. To remove it, push the button in and pull the bottle out.

Answer:
The disposal has a built-in compartment made on it. There is an "eject" button. Simply press it and the old cartridge drops out and then insert the new one until you hear it "click" into place. It will take a few usages of your disposal before it will begin working properly.

The bio-charge slides up the front into the slot for it. It will not work with any other disposal unit.

Answer:
It would depend on the use, as it dispenses the treatment every time the disposal is used. For a family of 2 or 3 people, mine lasts over 6 months, but I don't put everything down my disposal.

Go into your local Home Depot and talk to the folks in the appliance department they will help you get some ordered if they don't have them in stock. If you have to order them there is normally a special when you spend so much you get free shipping.

Answer:
I began using the InSinkerator when my new house was constructed a year ago. Since I have a septic tank, I chose the disposal that was "septic tank friendly". My cartridge is just about empty after 13 months use. However, I live alone and I compost to a small degree. I do not use the disposal for meat products. I am pleased so far.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bio-charge replacements and insinkerator Thanks for a great product, bought another house with septic system used this same insinkerator and bio-charge at the last house, hope it last as long as the last one, I put it in 1997 still going strong. Buy my replacement charges at home depot because they are always in stock. July 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great idea Simple to install, automatically dispenses each time you use your disposal. If you have a septic system you should use this disposal unit with the bio cartridges that help feed good bacteria into your system. March 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome product!! I use this for my disposal because we are on a septic system. It's a great product. VERY hard to get locally. I wish that more stores would carry it. But I have found getting from the company itself is alot faster than trying to get a store to order it for me. Thanks for allowing me the access in getting this product directly!! March 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Used product for years and it's great.. Waited four weeks from local supplier who for some reason could not receive delivery. Went on-line with you folks and had product in three days.. Great service.. March 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bio charge Delivery Very disappointed in the delivery of this product! FedEx set box by garage door and when my husband backed up he crushed all the bottles. Insinkerator would only replace one bottle out of five. I feel they need to ensure the delivery of the product! March 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by InSink aerator bio-Charge for Septic Just like the original when I purchased the disposal. Hard to find this is stores. Drove to Dawsonville to purchase is liquid. March 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I have a septic tank and a garbage disposal In the past it was not possible to have a garbage disposal if you had a septic tank. I am so glad that you can now have that disposal. I have had mine for three years and it works wonderfully due to the bio charge system. I had my solids tanked pumped last year for the first time in 5 years and the technician said it didn't even need it. the system was working properly. I am very happy with this product and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who misses or never had a garbage disposal because they thought they could not due to their septic tank. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by System leaked due to an 89 cent washer! The Insinkerator system seemed best for our new kitchen as we have no sewer. The 26 step installation was a bugger, and there was a significant leak. This delayed putting away items under the sink, and he reinstalled it at least another time. We bought a new p trap to prevent the leak but that didn't work. Finally after calling the manufacturer, an employee admitted that the company was using an inferior washer and had numerous problems with leaking. This plastic item had a burr on it which caused the leak! There appears to be no quality control with this company. They know a problem exists and do nothing to fix it. We bought an American Standard washer and all is well. I don't know if China can be blamed for the poor manufacturing, but it would not surprise us! The air button works well, and the system may also in time. December 9, 2015
