I have a Kitchen Aid hot water tank, model KHWS160VAL4. Do I need a new tank if I purchase the Indulge Contemporary Hot Water Dispenser?

Asked by: Suselakakaooa
Hi Suselakakaooa, This is Jim with InSinkErator. Unfortunately, our faucets are only designed for and compatible with InSinkErator's 2/3 gallon Hot Water Tanks. Our current model of hot water tank which includes the filtration kit is the HWT-F1000S which is available through Home Depot. If you have any other questions about our products, please feel free to contact our AnswerLine at 800-558-5700. Thank you.

CAN THIS BE USED WITH REVERSE OSMOSIS ???

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Donna and thank you for your question. At the present time, there are no national standards regarding such compatibility. In the absence of a nationally recognized standard, InSinkErator can make no claim regarding our products’ compatibility with other filtration systems and we can neither discourage or recommend the use of such systems in conjunction with our Instant Hot Water Dispensers. However, we can share some facts with you. RO systems produce highly purified water, which makes the water very "aggressive." That is why RO faucets are completely plastic. Even though InSinkErator tank is constructed from stainless steel, some of our dispenser faucets are constructed from brass. Additionally, RO systems can produce very low water flow rates, which can hinder the performance of the instant hot water dispenser system. At water line pressures significantly lower than 30 psi, the dispenser may "drip." Either of these two situations could lead to dissatisfaction, which is why we've introduced the first filtration system designed specifically for use with Instant Hot Water Dispensers. Thank you for your interest in our product and I hope this information is helpful to you.

can you clean the aerator on the faucet

can the aerator de dissasembled for cleaning
Asked by: Tom
Hi, this is Jerica from InSinkErator® Customer Service. Yes, you may clean the aerator of an F-GN1100 hot water dispenser by unscrewing the aerator from the end of the spout. If the screen of the aerator is not clear, clean it by running water through it in the opposite direction. If this does not clean the openings the aerator may need to be replaced. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us through insinkeratorfeedback@emerson.com or call InSinkErator AnswerLine at 1 (800) 558-5700. Thank you.

will the faucet only work with another brand tank (waste king coronado?)

I already have a new waste king corondo instant hot water (H710 series) and just want to change the faucet. I like the style and color of the InSinkerator Indulge Contemporarty (brushed chrome). will they work together?
Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Patti and thank you very much for your question and interest in our product. As we do not have full knowledge of how the Waste King product is designed, we unfortunately cannot recommend use of our dispenser faucet on anything other than our tanks. And if used with the Waste King product, the warranty would be voided as the faucet is not installed per the installation instructions, which again is for use with our tank. Thank you again for your question and we wish you the best of luck with your kitchen project.

Indulge Contemporary Single-Handle Instant Hot Water Dispenser Faucet in Chrome is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 173.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from The faucet continues to leak. We have tried everything listed in the manual, but it will not stop leaking. We have other InSinkerator products and chose this faucet even though it was a more expensive option. We are very disappointed that we can not get the leaking to stop. This was installed my a licensed plumber.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I have a problem with water flow. Two weeks ago, my previously installed hot only faucet started to dribble and spurt. Water was still hot but flow was very slow. I bought the new faucet and replaced the heating box, but connected it to the old tubing and tap. The same condition of slow water flow existed. I then called a plumber and he installed the new tap and tubing, and also installed a new valve connector to my water supply. The same problem of slow water flow exists at this time. I have checked the copper tubing for crimps but everything there is fine. In summary, everything in the system is new, including the connection to the water. Do you have any suggestions as to what I can check next.?

The on/off handle seems to be disconnected from the innards of the dispenser, water runs continuously. The water supply is from a water-softener, so there should not be lime build-up and other hard water related issues. I can disassemble parts of the dispenser, there are no signs of corrosion or obviously broken parts. The faucet handle pivot -- subject to constant use -- seem to be made of a soft metal. The only way to fix the problem is buy an entire dispenser for $165. I am an engineer from the old school, I expect faucets to last many years and replacement parts can be found and installed by a handy home owner. On this score, Iin-SinkErator by Emerson fails to satisfy. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One minor thing I would change I like the looks and the function of this product, but it would be a little more functional if, instead of having the lever pull toward you for a low flow, and push away for a faster flow, toward you would be on while you are holding the lever, and away from you would be that the unit stays on by itself, so you could rinse off something without having to hold the lever. The difference between the low flow and the high flow is minimal, so a "burst" function and an "on" function would be better for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product with in-home repair warranty After only 15 months, our dispenser by a competitor failed! I didn't want to repeat that experience, so I turned to InSinkerator. What impressed me right away was the 5-year warranty that includes "come to you" service! Installation with an Insinkerator hearing unit made my replacement needs complete! I like the firmness (feel of the dispenser lever) better than the old one - everything just feels more solid. Looking forward to much longer use of our faucet dispenser! Very satisfied!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This Instant Hot Water Faucet was purchased as a replacement for the first one we installed in 20... This Instant Hot Water Faucet was purchased as a replacement for the first one we installed in 2007. We got 8 years of use from the Insinkerator Instant Hot Water tank and faucet. The thermostat in the Heater eventually stopped working and allowed the water to reach boiling temperature no matter where we set the dial. This resulted in scalding water 'spitting' from the faucet, making the system dangerous to use, so I disconnected it. I'm not sure if the high temperature water caused the faucet to begin leaking but it did eventually start leaking slightly at the base of the handle. I replaced both the Tank and Faucet several months ago and everything is back to working fine. Cost to replace both? $440. It's a good faucet and works as promised, and the finish is durable and looks good. Hopefully I won't have the same issues years from now

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product. This was a replacement of the same product that started leaking at the dispensing handle. This is not serviceable, but should be. Hopefully the replacement will last longer. Company would not work with me on replacement at a discount as they had in the past. Installation was fairly easy once I got the old one off. The new one works well, but occasionally hot water comes out in a all directions rather than straight down.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works when you fix the bugs The copper pipe was 6 inches too short so we had to remove the old one and sodder it on to the new water tank.. no one tells you tou have to buy the water tank separately. But when I called to complain about my one year old hot water heater, customer service was very nice, once I really pushed them. The oroblem is, there is very little competiition for Insinkarator. So they dont do a stellar job on quality control.
