This unit is not designed for for that use. You need a instant hot water heater. You will so need a 240 electrical circuit.

How do i fix if Water spurts out when you turn faucet on?

Do you need to change the filter. Especially crucial if your water is hard. They only last six months and the plumbing is awful originally expensive.

Customer Reviews

Invite H-Contour Single-Handle Instant Hot Water Dispenser System in Chrome is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 236.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice replacement We have had InSinkErator hot water dispensers for many years, and the new Contour replacement is working fine. I especially like the newer designed faucet on top of the sink as it is more comfortable to the hand and is designed so water does not get into the top which made the old one look bad. I hope this one lasts as long as the old one which was about 9 years. We have used the hot water dispenser virtually every day for hot drinks and cleaning dishes and pans that have baked foods sticking to the insides of the utensils.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product We have had several hot water dispensers over the years. Handles broke, lots of maintenance required - so we really took out time researching for our latest dispenser. We love the chrome look of this one. The turn handle feels solid and is easy to use. We've only had it for a month but so far we've had no problems. This one is a little more expensive than other models but with the bigger tank and nice design, we think it's worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good unit works well Had to replace the previous one after 5 years of everyday use. Not sure why but water was not getting hot enough. May be due to internal scaling from hard water. Easy to install / replace. Water had a odor for the first week of so but it seemed to dissipate. Overall a good unit. Very handy to have. Definitely would recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The product was good . My wife loves the new InSinkErator. During the installation the copper tubing was short about 6 inches. I added a section by cutting off the old hot water disposer and purchased a compressing fitting for the connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I love my new Instant hot. I don't know how, but the handle turns more smoothly than any of the other 5 that I have owned over time. I would highly recommend this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product, But Has Flaws I bought the Invite Contour insta-hot to replace an earlier model H-770 that began spitting with faucet open. It should have been a no-brainer, BUT the copper line coming from the new faucet was approximately 2 inches shorter than the one on the old, and wouldn't reach the cold water supply line. I had to trip to the hardware store and buy a compression union and short length of tubing to extend the line. The second issue is that the installation created a strong, obnoxious chemical odor under the sink that wouldn't go away with cleaning of the tank or fan directed under the sink for 12 hours. I had to resort to spraying Fabreze on everything in sight to resolve the issue.....I hope.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Insinkerator We have had several Insinkerator hot water dispensers during the 44 years we have lived in this house. I enjoy the convenience of having hot water available whenever I want it. We just recently replaced our last one that lasted 9 years, and I like the replacement very well. I especially like the new design of the handle which is much more comfortable and does not allow water to leak into the top like the old one did. I cannot comment on the ease of installation since I had plumber install it, but it appeared easy. I have given up crawling under sinks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Once you have one, you won't want to be without it Have had one of these in my house(s) for over 35 years. Early models would have to be replaced when they started leaking (a common complaint apparently 15-20 years ago). The last one used a newer tank material that claimed to stop those leaks. Unfortunately, not quite true. I had to replace it. I get about 7-9 years out of a unit before it begins to leak. Unfortunately, there is no better brand so while I may complain, I'll keep buying 'em as necessary.
