Have owned several compressors over the years, but this one is built like a tank. Comes up to pressure quickly, solid construction, quieter than most units. I mainly use this with a variety of construction air nailers. Although it doesn't carry much volume needed to run high CFM air tools like grinders, pneumatic rattle-jack wrenches, etc., it has more than ample air for my nailers without stopping to build up pressure. I really didn't expect it to keep up with my high CFM garage tools, and that's what I have a big 220 volt 30 gallon shop compressor for. I like the portability of this unit, even though it's about 80 pounds, and take it to remote job sites. Very well made and high quality, especially in this price range. I especially like the fact that it is an oiled pump which should last for many years. All the non-lubricated pumps I've owned over the years have only lasted a short time. If you only want to have to buy one portable compressor, this would be a good choice.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jerry39 This is an excellent product, well worth the price.
This IR compressor has done every thing I expected it to do. When it arrived, it was in perfect shape. No nicks or scratches. One person complained that the gages did not line up with the openings in the panel. If he had been more observant, this is a design feature so that the gages can be read from an over head position, instead of stooping down to see them. Smart engineering. I used it for spray painting, and it supplied the CFM that was needed (4.5 to 5 CFM at 50 PSI) for over 5 hours, with no problems what so ever. I think the performace was exemplerary.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by AmericanPatriot Exceptional and impressive air compressor
I just received this air compressor from Home Depot and I have to say this is one of the most impressive tools I have purchased in a long time. The compressor is built like a tank and I can see why Ingersoll Rand has the reputation that they do.
One of the most impressive features is the quietness of the compressor motor. I just about can talk on the phone while it is running next to me. The rubber feet on the compressor dampen and absorb a lot of shock and vibration. I am amazed how quickly this compressor recovers once the air pressure gets down to a certain level.
This compressor will fill the twin tanks in just under 2 minutes when you turn it on. I am estimating that when the compressor motor starts again, it takes between 10-15 seconds to recover. To me that is great. I do own an upright unit that has a 5hp motor and this Ingersoll recovers 3 times as fast.
I bought this to run a 18 gauge nailer and plan on using it for roofing, framing, and flooring.
I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jake great compressor for around the ranch
After using this unit for 2 months I am sorry I did not get one sooner. It inflates the John Deere tires, the Airstream tires, the Jeep tires, with no problem. Very quiet compared to oil-less compressors, has not had any tripping breakers issues like my old compressor so I am very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Dennis Easy to set up and use
Did a lot of research on portable compressors. Glad I went
with this one. Out of box used it to shingle two roofs. Used
two nailers at same time no issues. Very quite compared to
my oil less big tank compressor. This has fast cycle times
also. Rated at 100% duty cycle I feel this compressor will
last me the next 20 years with regular oil and filter changes.
