Every garage needs an impact wrench, right? But, if you've been shopping for one - we all know how many complaints there are about weak wrenches. This set is a great deal.
1) You get some useful impact sockets. That may not seem like much until you need one and go to find cheap impact sockets will run you $5 and good ones just go up from there. The set included two key sockets I needed, a 3/4 and a 7/8. The 7/8 is a dead ringer fit for my 2012 Ram 1500's lug nuts and the 3/4 I used on a spring compression kit borrowed from a local parts store.
Without this gun, there's NO WAY I could have pre-loaded the springs on my truck to fit the new shocks in. No way, no how. Believe me, I tried every angle - including a 2ft cheater bar - before I dared hitting that tool with an impact wrench. It wasn't the springs bending that had me worried - it was when the compression tool itself started bending that I got concerned.
Luckily, my trusty compressor and new IR impact wrench got me through the deal - and saved me $300 that the local shop wanted to charge to install the new shocks. Not to mention saved me loads of time and a lot of elbow grease.
The ratchet I just viewed as a bonus. But it was unquestionably put to use and I was really glad to have it. I'm not too weak to turn a wrench - but it's nice to just push a button. It's one of those things where you know you can live without it... until you've had it. Now I know I can't live without it. Taking the bolts off the top of the strut was a great example. There's not much space in there. You CAN get in there with a wrench and take it off. I've done that before with a nromal wrench. Back then, ratcheting wrenches were a new thing and like this ratchet I viewed them as something that would be nice but I could live without. Then I got a set of ratcheting wrenches for Christmas and immediately knew I couldn't live without them again.
Well, I've taken off these very same bolts with ratcheting wrenches and now with the pneumatic ratchet. I now know I can't live without the pnuematic ratchet... When all was said and done - I swapped the shocks on my 2012 Ram 1500 and replaced them with Bilstein 5100's in less than 2 hours and didn't even get my clothes dirty doing it.
That made me a happy camper and the tool set more than paid for itself with just one use. Can't beat that deal.

Both impact tools are well built and have design and efficiency value over other brands.
I am very happy with the purchase from ordering to use.

I work at an independent shop with 2 years experience. This set works great I bought it about 2 months ago. My friend owns the same set and had it for around a year. It has more power then expected I actually broke off a stud already using the impact wrench.
It comes with a nice black hard case that says "Ingersoll Rand" on the front. All the pieces fit well in this case.
(((It comes with 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8 sockets and a adapter)))
The only small problems that I have is that it does not come with oil, the sockets are standard not metric, a little heavy, made in China not America.
Overall I would recommend this product as a tech that does not mind the weight nor the sound (even though its not entirely loud). It has the potential and durability to be used daily at shops.

This is a great set of tools. The only drawback is there were no maintenance instructions included in the package. The wrench and Rachel work very well.

So far the impact tools have worked great. Home Depot offered very competitive price. That's why I bought the kit from them. The shipping was excellent, (3 days).
