The flooring looks fabulous, but we have wasted many pieces because of quality workmanship. We reviewed how to areas and it doesn't just slide in and lock into place. Many problems. I am cancelling the second order because it is so difficult to put together. I'm finishing the room I am in and stopping with this high class look junk. Inovations doesn't have dupont quality. Please dupont comeback with your product. Paid too much for this flooring. Ends would go together, but not the center.

My very first attempt to install a laminate tile floor went much easier than I expected. My suggestions include the following: Have the right tools, measure twice, and do all of your saw cuts outside the house. My project included tiling a formal dining room, two bathrooms, one kitchen and breakfast nook using two similar laminate tiles.

The new units are a little thinner than what we bought before. Old backing was green, new backing is brown and thinner.

I had to add some to a ten year old floor and the new pieces matched up perfectly. They installed easily and you couldn't tell the difference. Very durable over the ten year period, even in high traffic areas. I like some of the styles more than others, but that's a personal choice, Hence the 4 rating in appearance.

These floor look great so much better than carpet. Use a lot of patience when you install these floors. The best part is that nothing sticks or stains these floors.

My wife has been anxious to replace the kitchen linoleum that came with the house for years now. She finally settled on this laminate based on a recommendation from a friend and she really liked the textured feature which makes it not come across as "fake" as some laminates tend to. I took two days to put in about 400 sq. ft. of this in a kitchen, small bath, and through a couple of entry ways. Rooms with less nooks and crannies should definitely go much faster. The only gotchas I ran into with this at all was the 15.5 in. width made for some interesting cuts that wouldn't have been necessary with narrower widths and the laminate is so hard that it burned through the new blade that came with my saw in pretty short order but a good carbide blade held up pretty well and was definitely worth the money. That being said, when you aren't working on the details, the wider width makes the open areas go really fast. Overall I am really happy with the way it turned out and actually prefer the look of the wider width once installation is complete.
The laminate has been very durable, already surviving knife drops that scarred the linoleum, kids tracking gravel in, scooters and all kinds of sliding, bouncing balls and toy cars without a scratch. Our friends that recommended this to us have a couple of BIG dogs that give my kids a run for their money when it comes to abusing flooring and their floor still looks new after years of use at this point. In the end the best recommendation I can offer is that my wife is thrilled with her new floor and that was the point.
