Product was probably not to fault but over half a case had smashed ends. You have to use a new set block to tap in joints. After 200 sg ft, you may need another new block. The veneer can chip easily if the block you are using becomes worn and slips or it can smash in the 'lip' , preventing a neat and closed seam. The end result was attractive.

Flooring has a nice finish and looks good when installed. It is much lighter than the photos but I expected that from other reviews. The finish is a light gray with some pink veining. Installation is hard to start, but once you get a couple of rows going it's easier.
When you start to install, the end seams tend to separate on one corner which makes it impossible to install the next course of tiles. What I did was temporarily tape the first course of tiles together with duct tape, then put something heavy (another box of tiles) on top until I got the second course completed. Same for the second course - once I got the third course going it was smooth sailing from there.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Slamb Great Buy!
The product was somewhat easy to install for a first time "do it yourselfer". The price was great and the product looks awesome installed. The only problem I had was the last row and that is only because I am a first timer at putting in a floor.

I bought this for a kitchen renovation and it was easy to work with (with the laminate floor install tools), looks great and has received a lot of compliments. Looks like tile to some who have seen it. I would buy this again! Buy knee pads and your life (knees) will be happier!

The installation of this laminate flooring was not difficult, but for best results I would recommend sketching out the floor to determine the best way to lay the planks. In addition, I used spacers against the wall for the first row and a tapping block designed for this type of flooring. To ensure a professional look, I used a good quality underlayment material placed directly on top of the existing vinyl floor. I planned the layout carefully, followed the instructions and used a cardboard template for difficult cuts around door frames prior to cutting the actual laminate plank. I made most cuts with a jig saw, but also used a radial arm and table saw. All cuts could be accomplished with the jig saw, as this product is easy to cut with a good blade. The end result is a great looking floor that resembles tile and has a better feel for bare feet than the original vinyl floor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mebeagler Love this flooring!
After searching for almost a year for flooring for our basement , I finally found this online and took the plunge. It is extremely hard to find something that goes with honey pine walls, cabinets, trim, etc. but this did the trick. It is absolutely beautiful. Since we had never installed a click/lock floor before, this was quite easy once you got the hang of it (two sets of hands also help, but not necessary). The clerk at the store recommended an accessory kit which makes everything much easier, so do yourself a favor and get it. Well worth the $17 or so. I would highly recommend this product.
