I have laminate in my diningroom and it does not hold up to water spills etc. If not caught right away the panels start to swell and some damage is evident on one of the corners of the planks.

It has held up fine by the shower and other toilet, however, for at least 5 years. I'm not even really sure that I have to replace it around the leak, I'm just banking on it. It does say specifically on the package though, not to use in wet or damp areas. I did explicitly the opposite and installed only in those areas and, therefore, voided the warranty. If that's important to you, I would suggest something else. Read Less

Answer:
I am sure if put together properly, it would withstand water. I silicone around the baseboard edges when I install them to insure no water damage. I did it in my kitchen around the sink, and dishwasher. Your best bet, is if there is any water, mop or wipe it up right away, this still is a wood, and you know what wood does with water damage. I do use the steamer on it and it does fine.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 53 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not happy or extreamly upset I ordered 11 boxes, of the 11 could only use 10, one box had 3 out of 5 pieces swelled so they wouldn't lock together. I ended up cutting up as muck as I could use out of it because it was unavailable and out of stock. I am going to have to order another box and tear up the part that is all pieced together. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lifetime Residential Warranty Nice Product. Had it installed by a professional. We had another team install. Home Depot quoted $.89 per square foot. Even though we removed all the furniture and the existing flooring, final quote was $1.50 per square foot (without explanation). Measuring cost $50 and done by local Home Depot Employee. Final Estimate comes from out of state from someone who has never seen the project. Current subcontractor used by Home Depot is rated low and Home Depot requires payment in full before work is even started. We are too old school for this tactic. But, product is nice and looks great. We have a lot of wood in our home. Our cabinets are oak and are heavily grained. We did not want to add more wood grain to our rooms. This pattern does the trick. September 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall happy with it! It was not as easy to install as advertised. In smaller areas the larger tiles produce a lot of scrap. September 28, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by very good laminate flooring it wasn't the easiest to install , but it looks great and seams were not showing August 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My wife loved the floor....looks great The floor was easy to assemble, however the instruction print was small. Having laid these floors before it wasn't a problem for me, however for beginners the best advice is to make sure your first rows (2 are secured and spacers are properly installed between the floor and walls. Tape joints as yo go to help prevent the floor from shifting which will help keep seams/joints tight. Glue in wet areas; kitchen, exterior doors and it is not a bad idea to glue anyway. aGood luch August 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great looking floor Bought this floor for a manufactured house because i wanted the tile look without the problems of cracking tiles or grout. After putting it down it looks like tile. October 13, 2015
