Hard water in Fla had permanently stained the pool finish. Purchased the aquamarine, hideous color by the way, that was on sale and used as base coat. Couple of thin coats of the ocean blue and it was a total transformation. Wanted to spruce up the pool for the grand kids so we bought the other colors of pool paint (black, white, royal blue) and some tint from another source. Couple of tips if your thinking about doing the same; (1) Adding red tint to white pool paint still makes it pink, (2) Chlorine does what it does so make the colors darker than you think it should be and the chlorine will eventually bleach it to the correct shade.

Painted my gunite pool. All went well, but will not know for sure until next spring.

I used this product to "line" a concrete pond. It dries quickly, even in Seattle where it rains constantly. Buy more than product spec indicates--I got about half the coverage. Two coats is a "must" and second coat certainly requires less product. Wear a ventilator. This product took seemingly forever to arrive, so order well in advance. I put fish back in pond 3 days after second coat, and everything is still alive. I let first coat cure for 7 days.

It's been about 4 mos. since we used this product on our pool and everything is holding up great so far! Our pool is about 18 X 35 and we used around 5 cans of paint to completely cover the pool 2x. When I went to the pool store to pick up supplies to clean it the girl behind the counter told me to use TSP but by the time I got to Home Depot I forgot what she suggested so I thought "something with three letters.. Oh, CRL that must be it." Needless to say that's what we used. My husband made sure to power wash ALL of the CRL off before he applied the paint and we waited a little less than a week to let it dry. Our pool was very rough all over and had some rust spots as well. We patched them and painted. Everything still looks great! No bubbles, peeling, etc. I will say the very top step where the chlorine dispenser floats close to the surface has bleached out. I'm so happy with the way the rest of the pool looks it doesn't bother me one bit!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Volunteer Competitive deal with free shipping. Arrived with no damage and local store helped to shake cans.
I usually order our pool paint through Ace Hardware, but this year I could not get the black as well as blue for our community pool. I was able to order both colors through Home Depot on line and it was about the same price. Lowe's also did not have as many colors available.
It is rubber based and does not clean up easily. I usually dispose of the rollers and brushes instead of cleaning them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by bobkat135 This paint is wonderful and looks great
We purchased a house last year with an in ground concrete pool which had been neglected and had holes and surface cracks in it. I puchased this paint online and used 5 gallons with only one thick coat. The color was beautiful and went on great. I only was able to apply a thin coat on the shallow end. At mid summer, the paint was coming off the spots that were already damaged from neglect. We have drained the pool again this yr and are in the process of re-painting it again...only because we were unable to apply a second coat on shallow end and the rain set in shortly after painting and didn't have enough time to season well. If you have doubts about using this paint....don't...it works great. Yes, it is thick, but it has held up well in the deep end of the pool.

This was half the cost of other pool paints and did not require a primer. So, the effective cost of this compared to some was one fourth.
We rolled it on, and it worked great. Looks great.
The fifth can we opened was a little lighter color than the others, so, take that instruction to "open all cans at once and mix them" seriously.
Stirring up the cans right out of the box was next to impossible, so, I took the cans to a local lumber yard and they shook them for me.
So far this has been a pretty good experience.
Clean up requires a pretty hot thinner. I used Xylol and it worked really well.
