You want to put it in the drain furtherest from the septic system to be sure it gets to the clog. It is so safe you can put it in any drain in the house. Answer:
Yes, you can use it in the drain behind the washer, that's usually between your hot and cold faucets for the machine. I guess the people above think you want to pour it into the washer, but yes, you can pour it into the drain. remove the drain hose from the drain, and pour directly into the drain.

Answer:
You should only pour into a shower or sink drain, as it can damage many types of surfaces and should be used with as little water as possible.

Answer:
No, you should not use Main Line Cleaner directly in your washing machine cleaner. We recommend pouring the entire gallon of Main Line Cleaner directly into the bathtub drain, let it stay in the drain overnight, and run hot water down the drain in the morning. Yes. Put it in the lowest affected drain, but not the toilet. Let it work for 8 hours before trying to run water.

Answer:
Patsy, the product is safe to use, but try 3 cups first, followed by the boiling water, to see what happens before pouring the whole gallon in. If those 3 cups do the job, then leave it at that. Use the remaining on other clogs in the future.

Yes, you can, that was my problem. My line was clogged leading to the street as well. Follow the directions carefully, it might take 2 gallons but it works very well. Thank you for the question. Yes, you can use Main Line Cleaner for your main sewer line pipe. You may need more than one gallon depending on how far down the line you think the clog is. You can estimate, one gallon of Main Line Cleaner per 15 -20 feet. If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to call our Instant Power Help Line at 1-800-613-4242. Thank you!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It helped It helped clear some of my clogging problem but ultimately it needed to be rodded out. I would use it again because it did clear out my wash basin line. September 6, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't work Everyone says this product works. I used it after plumbers had already snaked the main but still getting a block. It has not helped granted I only was able to do 6 hours and will try a 2nd bottle for 8 hours but I'm not optimistic. September 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Suff EVER! I have never had good luck with chemical drain openers, at least those I was able to buy as a consumer. I'm now a convert. This stuff really works! I had a clog in my 100+ year old house that just kept getting pushed further into the piping with a plunger and snake. I bought two gallons of main line cleaner AND a new wax ring for my toilet. I was pretty certain that after trying the chemical, and still having a clog, I would have to pull out the toilet to snake the line, hence the wax ring. I followed the instructions to the T, and after 8 hours, what clog! 'Nuff said!!! July 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It worked Water backing up into two bathrooms and bought two of these because it was $10 and had good reviews...and haven't had any issues 2 weeks since. August 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One gallon worked! I just followed the directions. It unstopped my slow, lateral sewer line in one application. I poured the whole gallon down the kitchen sink ( side without the disposal) at bedtime. Next morning ran hot water for 5 minutes, plus a large washing machine load on "hot". It's CLEAR!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolute Mastery!!!! I had an issue last year when I had moved into my home with the line being clogged. I had called a cesspool company and they came out and looked at it but was unable to do anything because it was so late at night. So they were to come back the next day with a truck plus they had to locate the cesspool. I was told it was going to be a costly endeavor. They never did show up and thank God they did not. I had called another company whom I dealt with previously at my last home and they came out and had a look at it. I was asked "did they even check to see if it was clogged?" At any rate they unclogged it but 2 days later the same deal so I called them back and they unclogged it again and told me that if they had to come back it was going to be very costly. Well it happened again and I was plumb out of cash reserve so I found this product and gave it a shot. The next morning I ran the hot water and seemingly nothing. I pretty much gave up but as I was just about to head off to work I noticed a draining sound in my over flow pipe outside and just like Moses with the burning bush I had to turn aside to see this great sight and lo and behold it was fully functional! On 8/7/16 I had the same problem arise used it again and voila! works like new. Praise God and full props to the company that created this product!!! August 8, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Main Line Cleaner didn't work for me Storm drain was too slow for these heavy, summer downpours due to roots in the line. Attempted a gallon of the Main Line Cleaner remedy without success. August 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5 star customer service it didn't work on my drain this time but I called the company about the refund and I had check 3 days later. Very impressed, will try again! July 23, 2016
