Where exactly do I pour this? In the drain by the washer which backs up or the main drain that the Plumber snakes?

Asked by: Mimi
You can use Main Line Cleaner in either drain but it is best to pour it in the drain closest to the clog.

can I pour instant power main line cleaner down the washing machine drain?

My washing machine backs up into the tub can I pour this directly into the washing machine drain?
Asked by: duca
Yes, you can use it in the drain behind the washer, that's usually between your hot and cold faucets for the machine. I guess the people above think you want to pour it into the washer, but yes, you can pour it into the drain. remove the drain hose from the drain, and pour directly into the drain.

I had my septic tank pumped out and looked in the access hole where the septic tank discharges and water was running back into the tank and not discharging. I probably over did it but when your septic tank is not working no one is happy, I used 4 gallons. after pumping the tank out I slowly poured one gallon in the access hole downstream of the septic toward the lateral lines, I waited overnight and poured a second gallon in slowly. I noticed the liquid was running out to the lateral lines the correct direction. I applied the other 2 gallons the next 2 nights before bedtime while the septic tank was still not full. Its been about 3 weeks and everything is working well.

Thought I would give this product a try based on reviews. I purchased 2 gallons and poured them down the shower drain, as I had a pretty good idea where the clog was and I thought that 2 gallons would attack the area properly. After a 12 hour sit, I poured 3 gallons of boiling hot water down the shower drain. After hearing a quick "glug, glug", the drain seemed to free up and drain properly. I ran another several gallons of water from the shower. Then I flushed the toilet. No problems! Sure beat the $200.00 I spent the last time it happened hiring a plumber! Great product! Give it a try before you spend the big bucks.

After reading the reviews I was still skeptical, but I decided to try it; after all what did I have to lose? One reviewer stated that he had to use two applications so I purchased two bottles just in case. The first application showed some improvement so I decided to use the second bottle and presto it worked! I highly recommend this product. So much cheaper than a plumber and you can't go wrong with their money back guarantee!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazed I don't normally write reviews. The 4" cast iron sewer line for my bathroom clogged up. I tried snaking it but my 25' snake didn't reach the problem. Before I rented (and wrestled) a commercial style snake, I thought I'd drop $10 bucks and give this a try. I waited a day hoping some of the water would drain and then followed the instructions to the letter. It worked perfectly, even though the clog was over 25' away!

I used four other Brand Name drain 'cleaners' to no avail. An overnight jug of Main Line Cleaner in the floor drain and all the house drains are clear. And now for over a month are still draining like new. THANKS MAIN LINE CLEANER.

Problem: I had raw sewage backing up into my laundry sink in the basement (lowest drain in my home) and anytime we used, flushed, or ran water, the sewage would creep higher. I tried 5 different highly rated drain cleaners and it caused a complete stand still, water would not drain at all. So I snaked the line 3 times to get the water trickling down. I was about to call a plumber because i assumed I had a damaged sewer line. Solution: I read the instructions on the bottle and their website, as well as multiple reviews about how well this product worked and all of the negative reviews to come up with my strategy. I completely let the sewage water drain down as far as possible, then to make sure it was drained I didn't run any water for 2 hours. A lot of people had to use two bottles to get the drain flowing, so I bought three. Before bed I poured in two bottles, I didn't run any water in my house and waited 7-8 hours. I woke up and immediately boiled two huge pots of water, poured them down the drain slowly, then ran the hot water for 10 mins. I couldn't believe that it worked! The water was flowing out of the house fast.
