It works great. It seems that with multiple devices (phones) is having an issue that I need tot find out.
So far great, on 4G I'm able to turn on and off the lights from outside the home network.

The two outlet remotes work awesome, easy to link and setup. The hub is unclear at first. It's ultimate function is to use with a smartphone app to control remotely. Support makes it sound like its necessary for any software/timer setup, but i'm not so sure. Once you have the PC app running configuration is easy as drag and drop. Only the timers need some thought process. Insteon has a ton of videos on (popular video site) and other users also post them, so watch them and learn. We now have 4 outside lights that come on before dusk for early work days and shuts off at daylight. They also all come on near sundown and off at specified times at night. We will gladly be investing in more switches and sensors.

I had received an estimate from an "authorized installer" that was so expensive that I almost blew the project off. But once I talked to the Insteon support team I felt confident I could do this myself.
The whole project took me less than an hour, including wiring a in-wall Insteon lightswitch.

Although the wired hub did not communicate well with a wired connection to my long range Ubiquiti wireless router (Power AP-N), it is working fine with a Motorola cable modem/router provided by Charter Communications. So far I have configured an IPhone5 and an IPad to work wirelessly with my home WiFi network, the Insteon wired hub, one AC power controller that came with the Insteon Startup Kit and one wired Insteon wall switch that I already had.
During periods of heavy WiFi activity, the AC power controllers sometimes do not receive the proper control signals from my IPhone or IPad, but there is always a correct indication of this problem (via a yellow "caution" dot on the controller's icon or via an unchanged transparent or green dot) when it occurs. Usually just re-sending the wireless off or on command will correct the problem. I have had zero problems with false indicator signals showing that the switched device is on when it is not or that the switched device is off when it is really still on. That fact (no false indications) is really important to me and is difficult to achieve with other wireless and powerline control devices.
My old house is quite large and has 4 floors with 8,000 plus square feet, so there is a second wire Insteon wall switch that seems to be out of range (or perhaps its located on a different AC phase) from the Insteon wired hub. I'll have to troubleshoot that issue and update this review when I resolve that problem. So far I am extremely happy with the Insteon Starter Kit, despite its apparent incompatibility with my Ubiquiti router. I am problem not configuring that router correctly, as it is tricky to set up.
The Insteon software appears to well thought out, is bug-free, and is very easy to set up and use, even for timed on/off events that work on a day by day basis.

I owned a wall module to control a light and fountain in back yard the first one worked great 5 stars but this one I ordered over Internet and can't get it to work. :(
I think they have a great product if you can get tech support!

Bought to replace a failing x10 system. Seems to work ok so far. Phone interface is good, PC interface is in need of help. I had 12 x10 devices replacing them all with insteon will be expensive. It works as advertised, but I am not sure this is my best option.
