Does this work with Kidde smoke detectors?

Does this work with Kidde smoke detectors?
Asked by: Doug
I know it works with Frist Alert products with OneLink technology. I do not believe it does with others. I would suggest checking with both manufacturer's web sites. Sorry I could not be more help.

what does "bridge" mean?

Asked by: lagunastorm
All it means is that it is a link from your OneLink enabled First Alert devices (with built in Wi-Fi) and your Insteon hub. It can send you alerts on your phone through the app, especially useful when you are not at home. It also can be used to control other devices that are controlled by Insteon, such as turn lights on. It needs to be used with the Insteon hub. That same hub can be used with Amazon's Dot to also control devices via voice commands.
