Now spin the dial a few complete revolutions. The little indicator light should stop blinking and just stay on. Your timer will be programmed. If the little red indicator continued to blink shut the thing off, wait a minute and turn on and reset as above. If the light still doesn't glow a solid red the switch is bad. Read Less

Answer:
No, this timer will not work in a 3-way arrangement. You would need to use the Intermatic ST01 or EI600 digital timers.

Answer:
This timer is not compatible with CFL or LED lighting. I've used it with CFL lighting but it reduces the life of the timer. Company needs to make it compatible. The digital timers that are compatible aren't as good and cost more and have a small viewing screen, tiny keyboard for programming and most require a battery replacement.

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 46 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by light timer The device was simple to replace and after programming has been working great. The first one worked for 8 years and I hope that this one does as well. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Added extra layer of security for my home I've installed these timers in all of my other homes and they're worth every penny. I can have an outdoor (or indoor) light go on and off whenever I choose so my home is lit at night after I go to bed. This adds an extra layer of security giving the illusion that someone is awake. Also, when I'm out of town, it appears the house isn't empty. Again, it is worth every penny! August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Works very well but red light that's used to set timer was so dim I couldn't see it in daytime ... At night it was reasonably VISABLE and I learned that if I cupped my hand over it I could see it well enough to set it in the daytime as well. In all fairness our room is quite well lit by large sliding glass doors as well as two skylights. I do like the product and would buy it again. July 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Timer Easy to install. Programming instructions could be a little easier. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good idea I would recommend this product if you don't use LED lightbulbs. Didn't find this out until after it was installed and wouldn't work. Fine print on the paperwork. UGH!! We like the cost savings on the LED bulbs too much to change back to the old ones! May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Intermatic EJ351 timer is the best! Easy to install, easy to program. Helps with security having outside lights come on as needed, even if you're away from home! April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Intermatic Timer The Timer was retrofitted and works perfectly. The Time of Day is not set digitally, so the actual Time of Day may not be 100% accurate, affecting the ON / OFF Operations. There appears to be a 10 minute +/- margin of fluctuation. Not an Issue, however. May 3, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Looks good but dated functionality The timer looks great. Is easy to program. But, unless you plan on using inefficient incandescent bulbs it's worthless. It will not work with CFLs or LEDs. Very disappointing but understandable for a 2-wire timer. I solve this problem by using it to switch an outlet AND a light. I plug a small night light into the socket. December 22, 2015
