Now spin the dial a few complete revolutions. The little indicator light should stop blinking and just stay on. Your timer will be programmed. If the little red indicator continued to blink shut the thing off, wait a minute and turn on and reset as above. If the light still doesn't glow a solid red the switch is bad. Read Less

Answer:
No, this timer will not work in a 3-way arrangement. You would need to use the Intermatic ST01 or EI600 digital timers.

Answer:
This timer is not compatible with CFL or LED lighting. I've used it with CFL lighting but it reduces the life of the timer. Company needs to make it compatible. The digital timers that are compatible aren't as good and cost more and have a small viewing screen, tiny keyboard for programming and most require a battery replacement.

No tiny buttons or LCD display you can't read without a magnifying glass. Best part is it replaces a standard toggle light switch so if you have more than one switch in a box you can simply replace it and not convert the others to the rectangular style. I had 4 switches in my case and didn't need to replace the switch plate cover. Programming is simple. Turn switch off for 20 seconds to clear the memory, spin dial to current time and push, turn dial to on time and push, turn dial to off time and push, spin dial past the current time and it's set. Red LED is on when timer is on.

The product is good, but it was not clear that this product would not work with LED light bulbs. It drove me crazy for a while because the light would go on at different times, I kept re-programming according to instructions then discovered a 1 sentence line in the instructions stating this will NOT work with LED light bulbs, this should have been communicated to the buyer in big bold letters. Why is this? LED bulbs are now becoming the bulbs sold in stores, the company should change its product to accept this new lighting, its getting hard to find regular light bulbs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Woks well with some bulbs Have had several of these over the Years and they work well. Nothing fancy. Just on at a certain time and off at another time - one cycle per day. Easy to set up. Had a issue with new one I installed recently where the time I set became unset almost daily. I replaced LED bulb from fixture with Fluorescent bulb and it's been working fine ever since. Maybe timer does not work with LEDs or certain types of LEDs. Information might be listed in user instructions sheet but that sheet is long gone. Just something to keep in mind when purchasing.

I had my electrician install the timer as I, at 85 yrs. old, was not about to tackle it. I had the exact same one for approx. 8 yrs and was extremely happy with it. I was happy to find that Home Depot could order the exact same one for me. It's easy to use and never had a problem with it while In use. That's the reason I wanted the same one. So thanks to Home Depot and Intermatic I now have my outside lights on again. BTW, I don't have the capability of sending a photo. Sorry.

It was the same model. We have an older home so there are only two wires. This timer also has only two wires. I had wanted to upgrade to be able to use LED light bulbs or CFL but those timers require 3 wires (ground or neutral) and I was not sure if they would work with our older home. In any case this one was easy to install and works great like the last one we had. Just limited incandescent light bulbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added extra layer of security for my home I've installed these timers in all of my other homes and they're worth every penny. I can have an outdoor (or indoor) light go on and off whenever I choose so my home is lit at night after I go to bed. This adds an extra layer of security giving the illusion that someone is awake. Also, when I'm out of town, it appears the house isn't empty. Again, it is worth every penny!

They are the only ones out there that fit a standard toggle light switch opening, I wish they would still sell them in the stores. They now only sell ones to fit the rocker switches. These work well, but sometimes you have to keep trying multiple times before you get the program to set.
