I've been needing a tool chest for a while, and this one was just the right size to get the clutter of tools in my garage organized. I wanted something that could hold a lot, but didn't have a huge footprint.
The tool chest construction is pretty sturdy. The steel seems to be sufficiently thick that it doesn't feel flimsy. The only place I could really get it to flex was on the top of the base cabinet, and that was only if I pushed down hard in the very center. And since the top chest rests on rubber stoppers on its corners, that area won't ever see any loading.
The ball bearing drawer slides are super smooth, and it's fairly easy to remove them when you follow the instructions. The drawers are constructed solidly, with no warp or bowing. The drawer pulls can be removed fairly easily if needed as well. Here's a breakdown of the interior drawer dimensions from top to bottom:
3"H x 14.75"D x 20.5" W
Top Chest Drawers:
3"H x 13.75"D x 22.5" W (x2)
4.75"H x 13.75"D x 22.5"W (x2)
Base Cabinet Drawers:
3"H x 14.5"D x 22.875"W
3.75"H x 14.5"D x 22.875"W (x3)
7"H x 14.5"D x 22.875"W
9.375"H x 14.5"D x 22.875"W
I'm knocking a star off for a few different reasons:
- The drawer slide stops are plastic, and I'm a little worried they won't hold up, especially if the drawer is yanked open to its limit.
- The stickers don't stay on very well. I got the chance to look at two different sets (since one was damaged beyond salvage during shipping), and on both of the base cabinets the stickers were peeling badly.
- When I pulled one of the camo stickers off of the first base cabinet, some of the powder coat came off with it. I'm guessing that someone touched the steel with a wet hand or something just prior to the powder coating process, since the spot the coating came off of was in the shape of three fingers, with flecks of corrosion dotting them. This really shouldn't be a huge issue, since most people won't be pulling stickers off of the tool chest, but if an area that's not under a sticker has a defect like this, it could chip the powder coat more easily.
- The top chest and base cabinet don't come with matching keys. The damaged set I received did have matching keys, but unfortunately the replacement set did not.
- The corner bumpers are made of cheap feeling plastic, not rubber. They also don't line up perfectly with the pre-existing holes in the base cabinet, so I had to angle the screws quite a bit to make it work.
On a side note, if you decide you don't want to go with a camouflage tool chest, the stickers do peel off pretty easily. Most of them came off without leaving any residue at all. The stickiness that some of the stickers left behind can be cleaned off with goo gone and a little bit of elbow grease (note that I did not have success with another brand of cleaner or with rubbing alcohol). I didn't have any issues with the replacement set losing any powder coat, so I think it was just an issue with the damaged set. Once the stickers were all off, I ended up with a tool chest that looks like a giant olive drab ammo can - pretty awesome if you ask me!

Rated 3 out of 5Â by timtsb Good option for those on a budget
If youâre looking for an inexpensive, basic cabinet without any bells and whistles, this is a good option. If youâre looking for a high quality, secure option, move on.
For my needs, this tool cabinet is fine - I just wanted a place to store/organize my tools in my garage, and this does the trick. I guess the camouflage design is a selling point to some people⦠honestly Iâm not a fan, but itâs not like this is the centerpiece of my living room. What I donât like about the cabinet is the drawers feel a little flimsy, none of them are lined, and the locking system is basically useless (getting all of the drawers to lock takes some effort â usually only a couple drawers catch the locking mechanism and the others remain unlocked.)
I only recommend this cabinet if your biggest concern is maximizing storage space on the lowest budgetâ¦and/or you love camouflage.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by daveyhimself Best tool chest ever!
This is a great looking, sturdy tool chest. Assembly was a piece of cake. Just bolt on the wheels, screw in the corner moldings, put the chest at the top and you're done! All of my tools aside from my portable miter saw fit with room to spare. My only complaint is the rubber feet for the top chest should have been put on at the factory. I didn't even notice it came with the rubber feet inside the top storage compartment until i had already filled the drawers.

International makes high quality tool chest & cabinets but I was unsure about the camo design on this one. The chest and cabinet come in separate boxes. They were packaged very well which was good since both boxes arrived a little banged up.
Assembly was easy. The chest only requires securing four rubber feet on the bottom. The cabinet requires attaching the wheels and handle. The chest sits on top of the cabinet. It stays in place but is not secured with screws like some sets. You get two keys for the chest and two for the cabinet, but be aware that the keys for one do not work on the other.
The drawers slide smoothly even when full. The wheels did not roll well at first but a few shots of lubricant and a few minutes of rolling around the garage did the trick. I also like that the wheels are the same green color as the cabinet. One thing to note is that this set is tall (at least for me). I'm 5'10". The top compartment is right at eye level. The set is painted green with camo vinyl. Whatever process they use, it works well. The vinyl adheres very well. I only found one spot at an edge that was slightly lifted. One drop of super glue took care of that.
The only thing I would add are black or green drawer liners but overall I really like this set. It's a great addition to my man cave/garage.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by ih82spd nice, but arrived damaged
The shipping crate and boxes where not damaged, but when opened the lower chest was pretty messed up. I had to use a pry bar to open up the top lip so I could set the upper chest on it. The lower corner bumpers screw holes did not match the holes in the lower box. Welds where broken, large scratch through the vinyl came and into the metal. They also sent spacers to place in between the chest and the wheels, why not make it right from the get go? I was thrilled when I ordered it, definitely not when I received it.
