This made in Canada tool chest is very well built for medium duty. I would say that the construction is far better than competitive models but if you want pro level go with International's 'SHD' series and subsequent higher cost. Draw sizes just right. Fit and finish excellent. As other's mentioned, the drawer detents are a little aggressive however I figured out that if I leverage my thumb on the drawer above the one I want to open and pull on the handle with my fingers, the drawer opens effortlessly. Closing the drawer does shift the tools around a bit if you close the drawer too fast. Once you train yourself on drawer handling, it no longer becomes an issue.
Had this tool chest 'Curbside' delivered. Driver offloaded pallet and rushed me to signoff before I had the chance to open and fully inspect the shipment. By the time I had opened the box, the driver was long gone. To my dismay, the front right corner was bent in and the side dented in. The lower right hand draw binds somewhat. I was able to get some of the bent corner realigned to allow the drawer to operate but now I have a 'B' goods tool chest. This is total carelessness on the behalf of the shipper and unacceptable.
I brought this issue to the attention of Home Depot customer service. They promptly got back to me and generously offered to remediate this problem. The customer service reps I talked to were completely helpful and resolved this issue to my complete satisfaction. You don't get this type of quality service often and Home Depot should be recognized for having such an excellent Customer Service department and systems in place to resolve issues. You certainly earned my loyalty to be a continuing Home Depot customer!

It looks nice.and the droors are a good depth. For my money I would rather have this than a snap-on classic 78, just because the snap-on has a ridiculous price tag. The worst part about this box is the droor detents. You try to open a droor and the whole box moves. I had to attach the box to the wall because it was so annoying. Then all your tools slide to the rear of the droor every time you pass the detent. I got so mad that I took a flathead and removed 1/2 the detents. They pry right out (made of plastic). It almost works well now but tools still slide around. Would work better with no detents at all. Where the droors lock the metal is flimsy. If you forget it is locked and tug on the droor hard enough to overcome the detent, it is possible to bend the locking mechanism a little. Other than that, the droors can hold good weight. The slides are smooth, it feels solid, it weighs a ton. The lock and key are good quality. Droors are alot deeper than craftsman pro series. For the price you can't beat it. Anything better costs twice as much. I am a 10 year professional mechanic and I would buy it again. I just wish the droors had a latch and not a detent.
