So glad we found this product. Really easy to use - just mix powder with 1 gallon of water. It's non-toxic, no nasty fumes and cleans up with water. It's also about half the cost of a traditional stain! We used it to pre-treat our boards before building raised veggie garden beds.
A helpful tip: You can bring your mixed product (buy an empty paint can to simplify things) to the paint department and have them tint it using a "quick dispense" tint, with any color you want. They don't even charge for it. We used the color "cedar" because we didn't want the grey/patina look.

The package directions were easy to follow and worked perfectly. EcoWood covered all my wood projects (4 4 x 9 foot garden beds). They look great in the garden!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tamara Warning: Do not use on wood that you'll be walking or sitting on if you have it tinted.
Warning: Do not use on wood that you'll be walking or sitting on if you have it tinted. We had ours tinted cedar tone and used it on a very large deck. Now, even after several weeks, whenever people walk on it, we have tracks of cedar tone tint showing up on the bottom of feet, shoes, and therefore, ends up leaving a trail leading into the house on the carpet. Just yesterday, my daughter had friends over. They were sitting on the deck, and the bottom of their shorts were stained in cedar tone. Very frustrating. Our little, white Westie dog can't even be out on the deck, because he turns cedar tone. We really have a mess on our hands. Praying this problem diminishes over time. As other reviews have indicated, the real test and results of this product cannot be determined at this point. Only time will tell. I do know that I'll never use it on wood where there is traffic again.

I used this on some fresh rough-cut cedar paneling that is on the exterior of my garden shed, and for three garden boxes (also cedar). I ended up using only about 2/3 the amount of the Eco-Wood Treatment that the instructions said it would cover (so it covers more than they say it will). I bought 3 boxes but only used 2. I applied one coat with a tank sprayer. I could see results within about 10 minutes. The color initially came in as a grey with a green tint. The green has faded over the past couple weeks to more of a grey/brown. It is perfect! I may end up doing one more application on the garden boxes because the wood is much smoother and it didn't absorb the treatment as well as the shed. Great product!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by al Easy to use and beautiful dark grey finish.
Easy to apply, and in a few days in the sun, it has a great grey finish. Bought more to use in the future.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MG Easy to use
Was easy to use and apply. Seems to work well, but as this is a wood preservative product it is hard to rate it as only time, hopefully many years, will tell.

I used this for my raised garden bed which I made out of Douglas fir. Wanted something organic. Mixed up easy, went on very easy. Really soaked into the wood. I did two coats. Looks great - makes the wood look like it been there for a while. Has no smell at all. I would give it a 5 but can't comment on how long it will last.

Gave wood a nice old look. The only thing I wasnt happy about was that I used pump sprayer and I left liquid in pump and it endup messing up my pump.
