Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 41 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Easy to install needed to use fiberglass screen for added protection *note for screen- run the screen a little longer out the Shute, allowing screen to flow over the lip that catches water but allows debri to flow out. Also drilled hole in the side at a downward angle the size of my finger below grate. This allows me to remove and replace easier for winter when I remove to add a cup of driveway salt to keep from freezing solid every month. July 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great! Looks like a typical flexable downspout but is set up to throw the leaves and debris out and let the water go down the drain. I was a little skeptical at first but once we got a good hard rain it proved it's worth. The price is what makes it worthwhile! August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works Well if Installed Right This was installed at the bottom of a vertical 4-inch gutter, which runs into a horizontal and sloping straight drain pipe under the ground. The drain ends at a bubber. The downspout filter really doesn't filter much for me because we have gutters with a cover over them, and usually there is nothing to filter ... I just wanted to make sure I didn't clog up the underground pipe. The downspout transfers a large amount of water pretty well, but unless you adjust the connection during a heavy rain, much of the water will flow out of the downspout side opening instead of flowing down into the underground pipe. I bought it because it looked like it would work, and the price was right. November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product was essential and worked great for my project. I needed to install an underground drain pipe to channel the water from my gutter to 30 feet away from the house. My only concern was that the pipe my get clogged from leaves and debris, But, with this easy to install product, any would be obstructions are removed before entering the drain pipe, works great. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product but needs small redesign Great product to keep underground drain pipe free of leaves. BUT needs a small improvement which I made with a pocket knife. The lower edge of the deflector shoot is held in place with the outside frame. This creates a small dam which does prevent small leaves from fall out. By cutting away most of the lower edge, it allows leaves to fall freely out. September 18, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good design good product to help keep both leaves and any critters from entering the rain barrels. Easy on, easy off if you want to remove it for any reason. Good price compared to straight pipe. March 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good idea but didn't work I have my downspouts tied into an underground drain that got clogged with leaves and seedlings this past spring. It was very expensive to have RotoRooter come and snake out the line, so I thought this product would be the solution to that problem. The leaves and debris from the gutters should have been filtered before clogging up the line. HOWEVER, in a heavy rain, water just pours out the opening and ends up flooding the foundation of my house. Seemed like a good idea, but it didn't work. August 4, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by These units could be designed better. These units have a design flaw. They would work better if they didn't have a raised lip at the bottom of the angled leaf diverter. The lip catches a couple leaves and then they start backing up into the downspout, requiring routine maintenance to remove the leaves. I installed several in 2012 and routinely have to clean out the leaves, especially in the fall. June 5, 2015
