You probably could. But if it is in an area where it will be walked on or driven over, it probably won't last long. It has pretty thin walls and won't take much abuse.

Answer:
I would not. You will get a back up of storm water and pressure on your downspout and the water will simply back-flow to the ground around your foundation. Keep it above ground and let the water free-flow across the ground.

Yes. Not sure how many psi can be applied. Works well on surface or below 4" to 6" soil or gravel.

I don't know how it would hold up under ground. It's heavy duty plastic. However, you need a drainage area for the water to run into. You'd need a huge barrel underground filled with stone for the water to drain into. StealthFlow 28-1/2 in Downspout Extension is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok for deflection but leak bad I bought these & snap together spout as wanted to get water directed few ft away WITHOUT leaking like most perferated items on market. Problem is where they snap together is like a spout especially at corners, bottom and water runs out in volumn. I tried re-snaping together, etc, but just poor design. Once gets to diff area like grass maybe most won't care but I wanted something low(not gutter pipe) and sturdy which these are, for rainy season. I was going to return, but instead used black waterproof silicone to seal corners and bottom.THAT worked. PROS: sturdy, low profile, can paint, can even step on them CONS: Poor water deflection as leak out around bottom & corners before gets to end. Poor "snap-together" design, all the would have had to do is squareup ends OR tell buyers to use solicone. OVERALL:OK but not many other options without burying pvc. Would not buy again.

I used six extensions to bury my downspout and being low profile it doesn't have to be buried as deep as round pipe. A plus when digging where there are roots. I dug a trench 7" deep, laid the StealthFlow, backfilled with dirt, then topped with sod. Sturdy construction with no danger of collapse even when run over with a rider mower. I installed my system on a gradual slope so no problem with the discharge end. However, if buried on flatter surfaces it would be nice to have an add-on end that turns up 90 degrees with a pop-up emitter. I give it 5 Stars when buried on a slope, or when laying on the surface and it can have a "straight out" discharge.

Theses were quite easy to add to our existing downspout and are very sturdy. We had originally purchased another brand of a similar design that seems flimsy in comparison. The center structure in the Stealthflow gives it great strength and it will not be crushed if you step on it accidentally. Two thumbs up from these senior consumers.

I didnt know this product was available until I shopped at Home Depot. I works perfectly by running this under my mulch beds into the lawn. I also bought the extra 4 ft extension to extend further in lawn.
