Customer Questions & Answers

Can this be attached and detached at will or is attachment permanent?

I would like to attach these to my pvc drainpipes that lead gutter water away from my foundation but would like to put a screen inside to prevent small animals from using my pipes as shelter. The ease of removing would be great for me to clean the screens from debris which may create clogs in the future.

During installation it can be attached and detached, it is a click together system. Note; with a click together system there is always a possibility of some leakage at the connection points. If it is being installed over a surface it can be detached (being it is accessible), but if it is to be buried once installed no, unless it is dug up. Which brings up something to be aware of, if buried in landscape access is easy just digging, but if it installed under concrete accessing is a bit more involved. For your rodent concern screening at the two endpoints.

Customer Reviews

StealthSpout 4 in. Low Profile Emitter is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from OUT OF SIGHT After laying pipe under ground I used this to disperse the water but its real value was its low profile. I enabled the water to flow out onto the property with an obvious round pipe. I can run the lawn mover right over it with no trouble. I absolutely recommend this item, particularly for the reason.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stealth Spout Manufacture provides all parts for a complete working system, simple to assemble, durable material, and cost friendly. Product is being used on a Municipal project to provide residential drainage from back of sidewalk to the flow line of the gutter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product This really made a neat transition from round to rectangular. It made cutting the blocks to fit much easier and blended well with the retaining wall. My only request would be for a slightly longer discharge snout to accomodate those "in-between" blocks that are not quite large enough to justify the extension.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good product, but expensive for what it is These will allow my 4" drainage pipe to exit at almost ground level. For what they are however (a little plastic!), they are pretty expensive. And, they must not be all that popular, as they are not stocked in the store. All in all, I'm satisfied

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only Product of Type on Market Used with 3" perforated drain line. Able to cut off 4" receptacle on back and decrease overall depth by cutting off 3/4" on spout. Even though it was shortened and placed through a 6" mortared stone wall, still had to accommodate large connection volume on backside of wall. Very pricey for what it is, but nothing else suitable on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I Needed I live in a townhouse and all the utilities are under ground. So I couldn't run my rear downspout under ground like I wanted to. So I ran 4" PVC above ground along the fence into this piece that fit perfectly in the gap below my vinyl fence. Like I said. Just what I needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Design This product is made for direct bury applications. The spout and accessories are very simple to assemble. I chose this drainage solution because the rectangle pipe is less noticeable versus the typical 4” diameter corrugated pipe opening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice look, better than round pipe through curb I highly recommend this. I wish I could attach a picture of our curb that we have this going through. Looks much better, and the curb will probably hold up better and not crumble at the top.
