Answer:
Yes, InvisaTread was designed for procelain and ceramic surfaces. It should not change the shine or look of the surface BUT just like any other chemical, you should ALWAYS test a small hidden area or xtra tile to determine efficacy on your surface. The testing process will also help you determine the optimal dwell time for your surface and desired level of traction.

Answer:
No, InvisaTread will not work on painted surfaces. InvisaTread is not a coating, it needs to react with the mineral compounds of the actual surface to work.

Dear Valued HomeDepot Customer,

"Unfortunately InvisaTread will not work on painted concrete. InvisaTread works on uncoated or unpainted mineral surfaces. InvisaTread is not a coating but a micro etching solution that changes the microscopic topography of the surface - making it non slip. It does need to reach the mineral surface in order to work. So, unpainted yes. Painted or coated, no.
Regarding how long it will last in the rain, again InvisaTread is not a coating so there is nothing to wear off so the short answer is that the treatment is permanent, it just needs to be kept clean with a strong cleaner/degreaser, in order to keep working effectively for the effective life of the surface." Answer:
No InvisaTread will not work on a sealed or painted surface. InvisaTread needs to reach the natural surface. Strip the sealer, apply InvInvisaTread, then re-seak the stone with a water based impregnating sealer like StonewalledTM.

Answer:
Just as easy to clean as the original surface. We just recommend using a good cleaner/degreaser as the on-going, regular maintenance soap. We recommend TractionWash, also available from homedepot.com

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works great. I have ceramic tile on the floors in both the kitchen and bathroom. If you get any water on it, it is about like walking on ice. I plan on replacing it sometime in the future, but until I can, this is a great fix. As long as you follow the instructions, you end up with a floor that is safe to walk on, without changing the appearance of the floor. I am not sure how long it will last, but it is still going strong after 6 months. Installation is easy. You first clean the floor and grout with a good cleaner. I used "Heavy Duty Tile and Grout Cleaner" by the same people, and it worked well. After cleaning and letting it dry, you apply the anti-slip treatment. Once it drys, you clean it again to remove any residue. You can apply more then one coat if you need extra traction. But one coat did it for me. May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Truly an amazing product. Used this product to solve an issue with my basement bathroom floor. The bathroom was extremely slippery when wet. Applied the slip resistant product, following the instructions as stated. The product did not change the appearance of the floor but the results were amazing after 2 applications. Yes, it does work. Tested the tiled floor with wet feet and could not get my feet to slip or slide no matter how hard I tried. October 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works very well! This is a 3 step process and is very easy to apply. First you must clean and rinse with the tile and grout traction cleaner, then apply the slip resistant treatment and the last step is the tile and grout cleaner again, which neutralizes the slip resistant coating. You can use a sprayer or a squeegee to apply. I used a squeegee and it was very easy. It is a bit time consuming but the results are well worth it. My tiles were very slippery especially if I came in from the rain. This process makes them absolutely safe. You will not see any difference in the look of the tiles which is exactly what I wanted. I am very happy and highly recommend this product. February 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well, used it on porcelain tub I wanted to get rid of some anti-slip decals on the floor of my tub, and since the product states that it will work on porcelain, I decided to try this on the tub floor. After removing the decals (no easy task) I applied the InvisaTread with a sponge. Since my tub is white I didn't really notice the 'white residue' described in the instructions. I'm pleased to report that the InvisaTread works as described and made the tub floor slip-resistant. April 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very effective treatment for slippery areas As we get older, one has to consider safety around the home, and this is a very effective means to making home safer. We have this stamped concrete around the front of our home, and last year, I had a bad fall on the ice just at the front door. So close, and yet, so far. So this year we have used this InvisaTread treatment everywhere we might be liable to slip! Good idea for a lot of people. It's not something that takes away from the beauty of the stamped concrete, either, you'd never even know it was there, so don't worry about the colors changing or anything. I'd recommend it for any home. October 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Add slip resistance to ADA ramps We applied Stonewalled Sealer to a new concrete ADA ramp as added slip protection, Alway looking to increase sales for my company, Followed the easy instructions on the side label, Applied the recommended InvisaGuard sealer for concrete. The HOA was very happy with the finished product and want me to give them proposals to apply to other area's. Yes I would recommend and have already October 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as stated Works well and easy to apply. Does exactly what it claims. October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product Recently I ordered the product online and delivered it to me in 15 days, I followed the instruction and used in my Restaurant , now the floor is more safe. Good product. March 4, 2014
