Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Miter Saw Laser Guide Installed on Milwaukee 12" sliding miter saw with 1" arbor although package states for 5/8" arbor only it fit perfectly on the reduced flats of the arbor. Only problem is the laser line is projected to the center of the saw blade kerf and for real accuracy I need the laser line projected to the edge of the saw kerf. I solved this problem by placing a .020" shim from my table saw dado set under the laser guide. Now the laser line falls precisely on the left side of the saw kerf, no more guessing as to whether to cut on the marked line, leave the marked line or take the whole line out. Probably will not work for right handed bevel cuts but works great for left handed cuts. Other than that I consider it a good buy. December 26, 2009
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So Far I love it! You have to do a couple trial/test cuts so you know where it is going to shoot the line (left side of blade) but it's easy to get used to it. 2 small issues, but I am not too worried about them: 1. Line is not incredibly bright when working in daylight, but can be seen. On a cloudy day, the first time I used it, I had to look to see it at first. 2. The rectangular notch in the back of it is not as tight as a washer, so you get 1/16" of play, and it feels like it throws the blade/motor shaft off balance for a moment when you hit the trigger. Goes away at full speed. I bought an inexpensive Ryobi 10" CMS, on sale from $99 to $69, got the laser for $ spent a hundred bucks, basically. The identical Ryobi with laser (but also small table extenders) was $149, so I am way happy. One for my circular saw is next. December 26, 2006
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dead On I just purchased my second Irwin laser saw guide for my bench mounted DeWalt miter saw. I can split my pencil mark every time. It doesn't get any better than that! I purchased an earlier version of this product about five years ago and while it was off my about 1/16", I would take this into account when marking my cuts and I was otherwise satisfied. After purchasing my second laser guide, I've called everyone I know that has a miter saw. January 9, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Saw Laser Guide Product looked promising. Upon receipt I found it to be even better. Install was a snap and production cuts were dead on. Cut my set-up time in half and error rate to near zero. Greatest improvement in older saws since the carbide blade! May 16, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by IRWIN MITER SAW LASER GUIDE Pros Great product. Easy to install. Great price. Cons Line is hard to see in bright sunlight. October 19, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome - saved me from buying a new saw and kept my wife from moving me to the garage. February 17, 2007
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Miter Saw Laser Guide Good overall. Supplied bolts didn't fit our Delta. Westinghouse effect noted. Buy it. April 12, 2007
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great addition to my mitersaw I added this to my Skill brand compound miter saw in no more time than it takes to change a blade. The laser line on my saw matched blade strike very well. If there is any offset my non-cabinet maker's eyes cannot see it. II'm curious to see how long the battery lasts (with intermittent use).
