This set is not the best quality I have seen or used. The set screw on the wrench does not hold the dies tightly and they come out of the handle too easily.
The taps are marginal and need to be used gently or they will break. I had the best luck by cutting about 1/10 turn and backing 1/4 turn to clear the chips. USE PLENTY OF CUTTING OIL and BLOW OUT CHIPS WHILE CUTTING.
For the low quality of this set it is priced too high. I am not really pleased with the performance of these taps, 3 have broken and the dies are a little difficult to start evenly and cut threads that are true.

broke them all, mostly in ALUMINUM if you can believe and no the holes weren't too small, I used aluminum specific cutting fluid, advance in 1/3 to 1/2 turns and back up to break the chips. Have other taps I can use all day, not these. Save yourself a lot of grief and buy anything else, I had better luck with that boat in the bay stuff from China.

A reusable, compact, easy to open (and close) package that includes the tap and die handles. Quality tools, at a very reasonable price. I,... keep it in my service truck, and use it to repair threads on electrical boxes that won't accept their hardware,...

I should have read the reviews prior to purchasing these. They break way too easily, I've broken 3 so far and I'm not even abusing them. Will be returning these and buying a different set.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by PhillyCarpenter Decent set, but poor wrench.
Wrench does not hold taps tight enough. This causes you to constantly having to re-tighten every few turns. However, a couple of times, the wrench fell off the tap, hit the floor and broke into its various components.
The taps held up nicely. Just remember to lubricate ever so often, so you don't break the tap in the hole. Ouch!
