Yes. Just make sure you mix the white and brown parts well, using your fingers, before applying it.

Is this stainable? Does it stain like wood or does it end up lighter?

I am building a shelf and have counter sunk the screws a little bit. I want to fill them in with something to get a nice smooth look. I plan to stain the shelf a dark color. Is this stainable? How much does this deviate from the wood in color when stained? Some "stainable" fillers end up much lighter than the wood so it's very noticeable.
Asked by: Andrea
yes but better use dark color stain.

KwikWood 1 oz. Filler is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase I used this wood filler to fill the door lock screw hole to refit the lock. When i try to remove the broken screws from the door the hole become big and not able to fix the screws again. This wood filler works great. This saves the cost of new door. Good quality product.

I have used it for probably 8-10 years(see picture), the dolls arms, hands, feet and ruffle on the dress are all made with KwikWood. My latest purchase was to use repairing a 60 year old bread bowl. The bottom was cracked all the way through the bowl. I have also used it to repair a crack in siding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BETTER THAN BONDO! I was a professional painter and wood repair technician for 10 years. I have used Bondo for most dry rot repair, but stumbled upon this product in Home Depot and decided for $4.00 I'd give it a try. At first I tried to only fill a large hole with it and when I saw how hard it dried in 20 minutes I decided to go grab another tube and totally complete the repair. It sands easily and takes paint like a champ. You can tell there was a repair made in the spot, but it was better than replacing an entire 4X4 structural post on a front porch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from JB Weld does it again! I recently dropped a $1200 guitar and dented the back of the neck pretty bad. I've used JB Weld in the past so I went with this, I couldn't be happier! It's ready to sand in 40 minutes, and once I finished fine sanding the neck you cant feel the dent at all. After that I repaired an acoustic guitar bridge where the bridge pin holes were stripped out to large. I filled the holes in completely with qwik wood, in 45 minutes I re-drilled the holes and the new pins fit perfect. I will always keep a tube of this handy for any other wood repair projects, you simply cant beat it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great way to fill gaps and spaces. A little goes a long way I had a unusual shaped area to fill in next to basement stairs that needed to be filled and painted. I found the Kwikwood and tried it out. It mixed and molded easily. I allowed it to dry for 24 hours before I sanded it. It painted easily and has not cracked or chipped. Would definitely use again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the Best wood fillers ever. I had to fill some porch floor holes that started to rot out. This stuff really works like they all say. I'll stay with this product as long as they make it. Sands very well also and doesn't pull out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than wood glue for fixing damaged screw holes Had a cabinet drawer slide that fell off 1 too many times. First we tried using larger screws then they stripped out, the the wood filler putty, lasted maybe 2 weeks. Someone at Home Depot recommend this product and it really does the job. There is no way those screws are coming out now. Working great on the screw holes for hinges on a door frame too.
