We decided to order these windows for our 100+ years old home to return to a more historical look. I was very surprised at how well they were packaged in a frame made of 2X4's and faced with 1/4" plywood. We have bought a total of 5 and love them. They operate very smoothly.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Andy Disappointed in JELD-WEN V-2500
I ordered six V-2500 new-construction windows online. In the end I made them work, but quality of workmanship was extremely disappointing. The sizes and price were right, but adhesive used to seal the glass was smeared everywhere. Corner "weld"seams poorly trimmed and uneven. Two screens so far out of square they barely stayed in the window frame. Both had to be disassembled, squared, and then rescreened with new material. I've used comparable Crestline windows before with excellent results. No more JELD-WEN for me.

Easy to clean, all around good EXCEPT the screens pop out with almost no pressure, making them unsafe for kids & pets

I told him that it was possible to put a window in, I told him I told hm!

Delivered to the house on a wooden pallet with wooden side to protect from damage. Fit exactly as size indicated and was easy to install by following instructions. Used them to replace junky aluminum windows on back porch. These are far superior.

The windows looked exactly as the picture showed. The windows seemed solidly put together and arrived in good condition, with no cracks in the glass or issues. I am satisfied with this window, it represented a compromise between what we really wanted and the price, and most importantly was available in a size that easily fit in the old window locations (needed full frame replacements).
Overall there are certainly a few things I would change about it, but as it was a standard window that didn't require special order I though the price and quality were fair.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYerinNY Shipped well
After ordering, my hubby was slightly concerned about damage during shipping. We were pleasantly surprised when the window was delivered encased in about $15 worth of plywood. Not much chance of damage. Also, it was installed in a new construction opening, and I did not hear the blue streaks that usually accompany install at our house! The room is not finished yet, so the window is not actually in use, but I have heard no complaints thus far!

This is the second of these windows I purchased on line from HD. The first arrived in a wood crate and part of the vinyl edge was broken. It could still be installed so I took it home. The crate was extremely solid, made with first grade 2 x 4's that I coukd use. This one was not in a crate and I was told it arrived packed with other Windows. It was in perfect condition. The first purchase I had to wait about 20 minutes for employee to find a screwdriver to open crate. This time it was a very short wait, but there's always something wrong every time! While I was waiting for the window at the Customer Service Desk, one of the female employees greeted every Latina customer that she helped by calling the customer "mi amor"' which translates to "my love". There were other, younger. HD employees within earshot and I'm certain this wasn't the first time she used that greeting. So, the store management shoukd be aware of this. I find such a greeting to be completely inappropriate. If I was in a Latin American country I woukd also find it inappropriate in this day and age. Instead of being professional and friendly it is condescending and radically inappropriate. I can't imagine that management, spending even a short amount of time where work is actually performed, woukd not have heard this nonsense and stopped it.
