I want these doors to separate the toilet and shower from the double sink inside my bathroom. My opening is 48". I want to have these doors open most of the time, but just to the right side instead of opening at the center. Is it possible?

Sunny, sorry to say but no because of manner in which bi-fold doors operate they have to be mounted to open to both sides VS to one side. If creating a separation is a "must" have than I suggest you look into using Accordion door http://www.homedepot.com/p/Spectrum-48-in-x-96-in-Express-One-Vinyl-White-Accordion-Door-EX4896WH/100465668 this comes in more than just white as well, but you may have to cut Read More

If opening height is only 80" that would be a lot to cut off. Look at http://www.homedepot.com/p/Spectrum-48-in-x-80-in-Elite-Vinyl-Satin-Silver-Accordion-Door-EL4880S/300067433 granted it's not m=white. Either way these have to be ordered & at a reasonable cost & installation labor. Since you have a shower that will create a steamy environment I'd use vinyl VS something using MDF which in my opinion should only be used where NO moisture is present. Read Less

Finished Opening Conflicting Information

This question is from 60 in. x 80 in. Woodgrain 6-Panel Hollow Core Molded Interior Closet Bi-fold Door

During the construction phase, I referred to your installation guide for bifold doors (JII103) which calls for a finished opening 1/2 inch wider and 1-1/2 inches higher than the door. The instructions say that if clearance on the height is less than 1-1/2, the door won't fit. So I made it 60.5 x 81.5 inches.
The Home Depot product description calls for 1/2 inch clearance on height and 1/4 on each side. It also refers to the door (60 X 80) as DOOR SIZE as opposed to FINISHED OPENING SIZE.
The instructions on the box call for a finished opening of 60 x 80.63 (exactly).
Please clarify this. What is the correct information and what is the tolerance on the dimensions?

I measured the inside of the door frame to the carpet and it's 36" wide and 79 1/2" tall. Will this door fit or will I need some wiggle room and have to get a custom door made?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love these doors!!! High quality and easy to paint.....love these doors! September 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to replace existing doors I was replacing a 30-yr old set of 48" bi-fold pantry doors. I removed the old track and hardware and replaced with new. Everything fit perfectly. Once I hung the doors, it only took a few minutes to adjust the level. I did make the mistake of installing the hardware on one of the doors upside down. Be careful not to do this as it is difficult to remove the hardware from the doors once installed. I was able to remove the hardware and re-install correctly without any damage to the hardware or the door. The new doors look great! September 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Plesantly Surprised I needed these doors for a basement remodel, and was very leery about buying them based on the many poor reviews I had read here. I decided to go with them anyway because I couldn't beat the price. I had to cut two inches off of the bottom of each door. I have read reviews saying that this was impossible, but I did it very easily with a circular saw. I made sure to tape the edges to try to protect the cut from fraying the cardboard, and it worked fine. I took the one inch bottom piece from the cut off piece and glued it back into the bottom. The instructions did say that trimming these doors voids the warranty, but for the price, I'll risk it. I did take the time to glue in the plastic track roller and pins so they don't come loose over time. Maybe I got lucky, but I had no problems with spinning nobs. drilled the holes and snugged them up, no problems. All of the hardware and anything needed for installation was included. It was very easy to install and looks great painted. I gave these doors a 4 and not a 5 because I don't know how they will hold up over time. They've only been up for a week or so, so I'll have to see if I have any future problems like warping of hardware loosening up. So far so good, and I have been pleasantly surprised. August 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Billfold doors for pantry Exactly what we were looking for. I would recommend this product. July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good closet doors Install was easy. Doors look very nice and function smoothly. Most difficult part of install was leveling/ aligning the doors, but that wasn't too bad. Due to the settling of house, the door frame has a 1 inch drop over the 48 inch opening. Just need to paint them now. More important, my wife is very happy with them. Much improved over the old doors. July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 3 inches shorter than advertised. I ordered 48-80 doors and waiting a month for delivery. After paining and assembling them, I discovered that they were 48x77 inches. They seemed cheap and had a ding on one edge when I unpacked them, even though the box was undamaged. I returned them. July 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value. Easy to install and look great. We left a quarter inch overhang of the trim so you couldn't see any gaps on the sides and it came out great. February 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Novice Good fit. First time installing bi-fold doors. Easy to follow instructions. September 8, 2015
