Customer Questions & Answers

Does door come with screen

Asked by: Colleen
Yes. They were out of stock when I purchased the door but it was ordered and I received it a week later. This door is a great value with the included screen.

Does this door have low Expectations glass?

Asked by: DoorShopper
Thank you for your interest. This 72x80 right-hand premium vinyl sliding patio door with tilt and raise mini blinds does not include glass lite with Low E glass. Low-E glass is manufactured by depositing microscopically thin, transparent, metal or metallic oxide layer on the glass. Low-E coatings reduce radiant heat loss and can reduce the passage of UV rays. While this door does not include Low-E, we do offer many alternative door products with blinds between the glass. If you do not find what you need on line with, please visit a store near you so a millwork associate may use the in-store special order catalog to quote and order what you need.

The screen door that the gentleman ordered for us is Very hard to open from the inside, Is there a possibility that maybe he ordered the wrong door for us. It's really a struggle to slide it open or to shut it.
Asked by: Raymon
Thank you for allowing us to assist you today. If the screen was ordered from JELD-WEN to fit our rough opening 72 x 80 right hand premium vinyl sliding patio door, you should expect effortless operation after properly installed. If the door frame itself is installed square, level, plumb and the new screen is installed to glide on top of the screen track located in the sill on the exterior side it should be able to function well. There are some adjustments to the screen rollers themselves that may help. The rollers have adjustment screws located in the screen frame at the corners (one side may be under the removable rubber bug flap) that raise and lower the screen for ease of operation. Turn the screws to raise or lower the screen frame as necessary. Otherwise the screen may sag and drag on the sill.

What is the difference between model # T&R 6068 and model # THDJW155900246? The first says primed, does this require painting?
Asked by: frugalbuyer
Thank you for a good question. The door described as: Model # Prem T&R 6068 RH Internet #202035977 Store SKU #688371 is only sold as an in-store stock sku item. The other door described as: THDJW155900246 is the same door but only available as sold on Not every store stocks this door, so having available to purchase on-line is offered. These are essentially the exact same door. They are made out of vinyl material that is brilliant white in color interior and exterior. The wording suggesting color is "white primer" is not wording supplied from JELD-WEN the manufacturer. Vinyl windows and patio doors are traditionally low-maintenance products that do not require painting.

Customer Reviews

72 in. x 80 in. Right-Hand Premium Vinyl Sliding Patio Door with Tilt-and-Raise Mini Blinds is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! I love this patio door. It's not perfect but it's close enough. I love the blinds inside the glass. I don't think I would ever buy another sliding patio door without this feature. Two things that don't make it perfect for me are the fact that, as another reviewer pointed out, the door doesn't open completely. But it's only a matter of a few inches and after having this installed for about a month now I don't even notice it. Also, the blinds don't close 100%. There is still a slight gap which you can see through. I solved this by turning the blinds up when I close them instead of down. Then you can still see to the outside but it's very hard to see in. The door was very easy to install and slides open and closed very easily

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jeld Wen premium vinyl sliding patio door with blinds This door was a breeze to install. After installing the door I was testing the function of the raise and tilt blinds and the operable door blind would not tilt. I called customer service at Jeld Wen and they were very freindly and helpful. They needed my receipt to process the claim so I sent them the receipt the next day. The next morning I received a call informing me that they could process the claim and a new door was on it's way. That's what I call customer service. This is my second Jeld Wen patio door. The first one I purchased is 8 years old and have never had any issues with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blind is broken, trying to get warranty service I loved the blind in the glass feature, but after a year (it is our bedroom sliding glass door) the right sided blind started going up a bit crooked and then the magnetic slider mechanism has broke (very average low use) so now the right blind only goes half way up. I was leery about the magnetic sliding mechanism when I bought it and wondered how the heck they can fix if it ever got broken? Now I have filed a warranty claim on-line with the company and no one ever calls or e-mails me back. Going to give them a call tomorrow to see when someone is going to fix this? Kind of bummed because the blind in the glass is a brilliant idea, and if it wasn't broken I'd give it 5 stars. Anyone else ever had to get warranty service through this company??

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love the blinds Installed two of these doors 3 years ago. The blinds are such a hit with everyone who sees them. Opened and closed once each day for 3 years with no issues. If installed correctly, the doors slide very smooth with little effort. I know, because I did one correctly, and the other less correctly. Great doors. Today, I am ordering 2 more of them. I easily cut the rubber stopper a bit on my downstairs door. Now the door opens about 3 inches more. Makes all the difference in that location.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Blinds Will Break Blinds are broken. Warranty from Jen Weld does not cover removal and disposal of broken components. That means removing the stucco, repairing the stucco, repairing internal molding, tile etc, that's on you to cover. Not worth it. The overall sliding glass door is nice. Having the blinds built in isn't worth the hassle as they will fail. No kids in our family. Only raised the blinds couple times a week. Broke in 13 months.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product has shortfalls The blind in the right door hangs up sometime half way down or at various places without reaching bottom. The blind leaks sunlight and outside light around edges and between the blinds. The door is not worth the extra cost.
