This is a good window for the price. If you can afford more I would definitely recommend something a little better. The dual pane center window flexes quite a bit when pushed on, like the glass used is very thin. Also the window locks are all plastic, so in terms of security and longevity they're not great. The window looks good and there are no air leaks that I've found, so it serves it's purpose.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KimV We love the slider, it let's in so much more air. The install was a "breeze"
The window looks great, provides good light and allows for good air flow. The install was very easy. The shipping was great, although it would have been nice to save the money on the shipping charges and have the window delivered to the store. We plan on ordering another smaller slider window for our family room.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AMerc This window made my kitchen
FIRST: DO NOT TRUST THE ROUGH IN DIMS. they are just inaccurate. By like 3 inches. I ripped out an entire wall to put in this window and 2 single patio doors. I made the openning 97.75x49.75 and when the window arrived (allow 2 weeks for it to arrive if you can't pick it up in store - and hefty shipping charges - but you will get some useful wood from the crate it's in) I measured it and sure enough the openning was too big (better than too small, but still). I shoved a 2x4 on either side and a 2x4 and a 1x4 on the bottom of my openning and the window fit beautifully (I could have fit 2 2x4 on the bottom but I opted to make it a little easier to install). Comes with an integral nailing fin. and you can look up the directions for installation on the jeld-wen website (I've included instructions below). A heat gun makes the installation SO much easier especially when it's snowing outside. Everybody who was a part of this window's installation or even looking at my plans said I would never love the window as much as all the work I put into designing/executing my new kitchen around it. When they see it now they are converted. The thing is amazing. Only downside? I never realized how much heat my old windows let in when the sun shone on them....this one does not let the heat in with the light....I like the heat - but it is a testament to just how energy efficient this window is.
I included some pics and products you may need to make it easier. Happy renovating!
To find instructions: under jeld-wen website click "pro-center" >"find technical documents" and this is a window, vinyl, builder's vinyl, sliding and click installation/finishing PDF. Choose the one with integral nailing fin. should be called JII001.pdf

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mikie Easy installation and looks great.
Was skeptical about purchase until it arrived. We had our carpenter neighbor assist with the installation in our livingroom. He was very pleased with the window assembly for it's price, and was surprised with how quick and easy it was to install. It took 3 to 4 hours, including the removal of the old window. It has nail fins installed because it is for new construction, but after installing some nail boards to help fill the voids from the old window, this new assembly installed with ease. It looks great inside and out, and the sliding windows work without effort.

I installed this window over the weekend. The delivery guys struggled to get the window to my house because the wooden crate was so heavy. I allowed them to remove the crating so they could get it into my house though. The window really isn't that heavy and I installed it by myself with the two sashes removed but I'm sure it'd be a little easier with two people. It is cumbersome though due to it's size. Once the hole is the correct size, it really is as simple as putting the window on the sill and installing screws in the attaching flange. Then just put your moulding over the flange and you're done.
The sashes slide nicely and can be removed in a couple seconds. The view out of this window compared to my old window pane windows is amazing.

We replaced 4 old casement windows with this new construction window. Installation was easy but we had to adjust the opening using 2 x 4 's. Overall product is not bad but it is lacking quality control. Thick silicon beads around the glass on few places. We can not cut them off because we don't want argon to leak. It cost us $150 extra to install.
Paid 55 bucks for shipping. If you do not have truck this money is well spent. For DIYer's, it come with two sheathings to protect the window, which is worth $50.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thomas Great service, great product
The windows arrived a week ahead of schedule and the packing was incredibly sturdy. I was concerned about drop ship delivery when I couldn't be there to inspect them when they were delivered, but they where handled very well. Upon unpacking the window I found they were both in excellent shape. Other than the weight and awkwardness, the window went in easily and look great. Our three season porch will soon be a four season porch after it's completed and the heater is installed.
