Saw works good and cutter is nice for those smaller limbs and hard to get to places with saw. We have a lot of crape myrtles that have never been trimmed properly and they are tough to trim period. Even extended out once you get your cut (groove) started it does pretty good. Big difference in pole saws though but for the home this works well. Commercial not sure, I have used Silky's before and there is no comparison but your looking at around $350 to $400 for those saws that extend 20'. But again for the home I would recommend and you always want a 16" or so blade as it gives you room to saw, shorter blades it takes a while to make that cut.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by rogjill Had to return to store unfortunately
We are seniors and the pole saw is just too heavy to hold up with our arm to get all the pruning accomplished, so we returned it. All of the paid gardeners in our area have electric power pole saws, and now we know why. They are too heavy for us to hold also, so will still have to pay to have the work done.

14ft ! not 12ft, 14ft ! That extra 2ft made all the difference. American Made.Light weight. American Made. High Quality Construction. American Made. Yes it cost more than the China trimmers,But think about it, I spent just over $100. If I had someone come and trim my three Maples it would have cost over $200. And that's only one season's savings. Did I mention that they're AMERICAN MADE.

Unfortunately, this pole saw's grossly over-sold on HomeDepot.com--- although, it expands to 14', the telescoping (hollow fiberglass) pole isn't nearly solid enough to apply the pressure needed to saw anything but the smallest of limbs. Additionally, the pruning hooks too small to be functional. I ultimately returned this purchase to my local Home Depot for a refund.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by tomas Really like the double lock. You can feel the quality in this product. Does a great job for me.
I like the fact that I can buy an American made pruner. The delivery was in a timely fashion to meet my goals. Thank you Home Depot for offering this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jimmy Excellent tool, well designed
First of all, people saying it is too flimsy when fully extended, to do any sawing, don't know how to saw. Let the saw do the work and it is just fine. I went wild this weekend in my yard with this tool, and couldn't be happier. I like the way they used the chain over the pulley, very smooth, reliable and easy. The locking mechanism is rock solid and also very well designed. I love this thing. Use it correctly and it will be well worth your money.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cimoto Happy with the pole saw.
Bought this saw when my 30 year old Craftsman fell apart. The pole saw appears to be well made with quality materials. The pole extends and locks well. The saw blade is light weight. I will eventually upgrade it. The pruner arm is only 5 inches long. I can only cut small soft branches. The craftsman was almost 9 inches and would cut larger branches. It is good around the yard but not for a professional.

This tool got the job done in no time. Was able to reach high into the tree with very little effort. Both saw and loppers worked perfect. Buy this one do not go cheap.
