Questions & Answers

Can you remove the saw?

I can only use a telescoping cutter, the saw just adds weight and makes it unwieldy for light use.
Asked by: weakling
Yes, but it's a a pain to figure out how to even put on the saw in the first place. Instructions not included.

What do you put on the tree limb stump after you cut the limb off??

Asked by: Rac
Nothing. Time will heal it on its own assuming you got a nice clean cut. Some may recommend painting it but that can do more damage than good. You only paint trees when a limb comes off due to wind or storms when you have a broken ragged edge.

Years ago I bought a similar telescoping saw made by Fiskars, with a double pulley clipper and and a better balance of weight. You could extend it and the end was not overweighted. This saw does what it advertises, but my disappointment is in how heavy the end clipper is. It's difficult to wield. The Fiskars was lighter and got the job done. I don't like the single pulley for the clipper either, or the bike chain used in it. It gets out of line often and you have to readjust it. I haven't extended it to the full 14 feet, but I can already tell it's going to be too hard to work that way because of the weight balance issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One tiny issue The pole saw preformed very well as my son cut limbs for two days. The rope kept getting in the way so we tied a quick release clip onto the rope and now only attach it when the limb shear is needed. The saw blade is attached with a through bolt and locknut plus a tiny short undersized screw. That screw kept working loose and eventually went mia. The saw needs a small design change to fix this problem. Then it will be an awesome tool for every home owner.

Then instead of sawing the blade just moves up in the air. This is my second pole saw. The first one was by Fiskars and it was useless as well. Why can't they make one that actually holds together and does what it is supposed to do. Is that too much to ask for?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some instructions would help! Great product, works the way it's supposed to. Only complaint is a lack of instructions for attaching the blade. I got it on but still not sure if it's on the way it should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Search is Over 14ft ! not 12ft, 14ft ! That extra 2ft made all the difference. American Made.Light weight. American Made. High Quality Construction. American Made. Yes it cost more than the China trimmers,But think about it, I spent just over $100. If I had someone come and trim my three Maples it would have cost over $200. And that's only one season's savings. Did I mention that they're AMERICAN MADE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works good and a good price. Saw works good and cutter is nice for those smaller limbs and hard to get to places with saw. We have a lot of crape myrtles that have never been trimmed properly and they are tough to trim period. Even extended out once you get your cut (groove) started it does pretty good. Big difference in pole saws though but for the home this works well. Commercial not sure, I have used Silky's before and there is no comparison but your looking at around $350 to $400 for those saws that extend 20'. But again for the home I would recommend and you always want a 16" or so blade as it gives you room to saw, shorter blades it takes a while to make that cut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tool, well designed First of all, people saying it is too flimsy when fully extended, to do any sawing, don't know how to saw. Let the saw do the work and it is just fine. I went wild this weekend in my yard with this tool, and couldn't be happier. I like the way they used the chain over the pulley, very smooth, reliable and easy. The locking mechanism is rock solid and also very well designed. I love this thing. Use it correctly and it will be well worth your money.
