Has anyone figured out any tricks to disengage the poles after they have been put together?

The poles fit very snugly and firmly together with the ferule that keeps them from slipping. However, I am having a difficult time getting the 3 poles back apart. They are so snug after sawing some limbs that they will not disengage from each other (even after disengaging the ferule that locks them together. Any suggestions?

Answer:
Don't know if would work with that particular pole assembly, but if you place the pole horizontally behind your thighs with one hand gripping the pole just to the outside of each thigh and then just hold on and squat.
Your hands will be pushed outwards and the leverage will be applied in opposite directions on the pole and it should allow the sections to separate.

I bought the pruning cutter with the (3) 6 Ft extensions. I thought I was getting the saw with it...for the price it should have been included. I don't want to by more extensions.

When I researched extension pole saws I saw that some companies offered different types of blades separately. You gotta check and read on your own.

Yes, but too difficult (for me - shortish, oldish woman) to handle at 18'. I use it only at 6' and 12'. Would take a lot of strength, good balance & confidence at 18'.

Answer:
Yes, but it is very heavy. Also, there is no saw blade, only the pruner. They want you to purchase another extension pole set with the saw blade. My pruner broke when the bold holding it to the connecting post broke after only 10 minutes of use.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 111 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The learning curve We were trying to cut a branch standing on 6' ladder using 3 lengths ;blade was too curved. Went to store to see if I could get a straight blade; none available . Came home and saw the blade had holes so you could make it have a different "angle of attack.". Problem solved! August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It works! It takes a little practice to get it working more easily but once you have used it for 10 minutes you will have it down and then really start to benefit. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works real well I've used it to trim branches that are up to 6" in diameter and it saws through them very well. Granted the branches were very dry and the saw was new. But they were high at close to 20 feet off the ground. Using a ladder and this pole saw I was able to do the job. It does takes some shoulder strength to use the pole saw at the full 18 feet and you do need to be careful wielding the saw. I would have given the pole saw 5 stars except it's really hard to pull the two pole extensions apart. It took a lot of jimmying and vibration to finally pull them apart. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Pole Saw My Father and I were first exposed to this type of extended Pole Saw with a Professional Tree Guy. Once we saw this fabulous tool was available to the average person we wanted to own our own. So for Fathers Day I purchased this product for my 90 year old Father and we were both thrilled with it's quality and ease of use. As in other reviews , oil the connecting units for ease of dismantling when storing the sections. This is strong product and will surly save you money and time doing your own trimming of tall pine branches and the such. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Great pole saw. Used it with all pieces for maximum extension. Wasn't to difficult for a 62 year old. Saw cuts through branches pretty easily. Would recommend lubing up the connections first as this makes it easier to remove them later. Highly recommended. Would buy again. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jameson pole saw Great saw, very well built. Cuts through palm trees like butter. June 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Reach This turned out to be very worthwhile for me. I needed a long reach saw across a small pond. The advantage of 3 - 6 foot poles was that I could customize the saw to the various lengths I needed. Easy to hook up and disassemble in short order. Cuts extremely well for my needs. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Pole Saw Previously I had a telescoping pole saw which was problematic. This saw has great reach when you use all three lengths put together however it's a little wobbly at that length (all saws would be at 18 feet). It's nice because you can just use 2 lengths (12 feet) when you don't need the extra reach. This saw cut palm fronds like it's going thru butter, I might not want to use it so much on hard woods though. I was thinking of buying another one so I could extend it's reach even more! One hint on this saw: spray a little WD-40 on the connecting tubes so they come apart more easily. Highly recommended product. April 12, 2016
